Busy on the weekends but the service was amazing! We were checked up on multiple times and the servers were so kind. When we paid for our bill, the man ringing us up was so polite and thanked us for coming in today (he may have been the manager). Everyone at this location is doing a fantastic job. Restaurant was clean, food was delicious with big portions and the staff seemed so happy!

Jazzlyn was our waitress and she was great. It was our first visit to this BBD and we now plan to return asap. We live in Patterson but dont mind makign the drive as it was such a nice place, great food, atmospher and best of all our waitress Jazzlyn was so welcoming and great!!We had tuna melt, salad and iced tea and for dessert one scoop sundaes.

Worst freaking experience and service ever. Black Bear ruined my mom's mother's day breakfast that ended being lunch. We were first told wait time was 30-35mins, but we ended up waiting for over 50mins. We understood it was busy, so we were okay. The thing that was incredibly frustrating was our waitress "Odi" and a random older man (not sure if he was a manager). We waited over a freaking hour for our food. Several people that came in after us had their food before us. We were really patient until the random older man (maybe manager) came saying without context that his kitchen was "pfff" and did some hand motions. Im guessing he was trying to say that they were backed up and said our food would be out shortly. Mind you we had already been waiting for over an hour. Our food came out 30mins later. All while our "waitress" kept avoiding our table and would randomly say your food will be out shortly 3 different times within the span of 1 1/2 hours. All they did for us was give us a lousy sorry, a bill, and some shitty as services. I am absolutely livid about this.You guys need better management. We always come here on busy days and never experienced this before.

I have been to several Black Bear Diners, but never took the time to review one. Ours was not a good experience, so I am taking the time to review so the management will know and take corrective actions. It took 15 minutes to be adequately acknowledged and seated. Then, we had random preoccupied servers who did not do simple tasks, like refilling coffee, bring a side, etc. My food was not warm or "fresh," but tough. They never returned to our table to check on us and didn't have time to ask when our receipt was quickly dropped off at our table. When I personally walked the tag to the front counter to pay (hoping that someone in this place would care about our experience), the transaction was rushed and apparently that they could care less about our time there. This place was obviously understaffed and it was apparent in their attitudes and food. It's a very disappointing thing when you don't eat your food and multiple random "servers" don't notice or care. For the ridiculously overpriced experience of eating out these days, I would hope for decent service.

Well I'm going to make this easy. This place is an absolute shithole. From Service to well nevermind we never made it to the food. Been here twice in last 3 months and walked out both times after not being helped. We walked in first time and was told by the dumbass up front we had to wait for 45-1 hour for a table even though half the place was empty. I get it we were a party of 5 and had our MC Cuts on so guess they were scared to seat us. Wife said something to someone else and got seated immediately. After waiting 20 plus minutes for someone to say hello we walked out without eating and wife ripped the kids ass up front for discrimination. On to yesterday I was in the hospital wasn't able to eat for 3 days so I decided we would make my first meal Black Bear. Wearing a hoodie and pants get seated immediately only to never get service. Waited 15 minutes or so place was dead we noticed another family being seated and waitress was already taking their drink orders as they were sitting yet hasn't even said hello to us. We looked down and realized the menu prices are ridiculous and BLACK BEAR TURLOCK IS GOUGING THEIR CUSTOMERS. 23.00 FOR THE CHICKEN FRIED STEAK BREAKFAST I JUST HAD 2 WEEKS AGO IN MODESTO BLACK BEAR FOR UNDER 18.00. We go there to Modesto 3-4 as a month for breakfast get outstanding service by all and great food cooked the way we ask. Turlock Black Bear can kiss my ass never again will we step foot in this place that as others have said smells as a shithole sewage factory. We will continue to go to Modesto but F;#$ this location!!!!!! Overpriced, shit service, and smell of sewage. YUMMMMMM. Do yourself a favor and go check out the location in Modesto you won't regret it. Thought about contacting corporate or an attorney for discrimination but writing this review has already gave them more time then they deserve. One thing is certain when we came in as a club your should thank God daily my children were with me otherwise someone would have been getting their ass whooped.
