Bistro 234

Happy New Year! We had the pleasure of celebrating New Year's Eve together by dining at Bistro 234. Luckily we had made reservations because they were very busy. The atmosphere was festive with couples and larger groups dressed to celebrate the end of another year.We were seated promptly and proceeded to order pre-dinner cocktails. I then ordered the spinach salad and my husband had the meatballs as our starters. Very good! For dinner I selected the sea bass which was a special and am I glad I did! I absolutely LOVE sea bass and will almost always order it if it is available. This sea bass was served on top of a risotto with asparagus. Divine! My husband had the short ribs which he raved about. Even though we were both pretty full from our meals, we split the tiramisu for dessert which is always a treat!Our server Shawn was a delight. So friendly yet very professional and efficient. We did not have to wait long between courses which was nice. Bistro 234 is one of our favorite places to dine especially when we are celebrating a special occasion or just want a nice date night venue. We can't wait until our next visit!

Came here on a work trip and it was incredibly good!! We were appreciative they could fit our party of 10. Our server was very nice and helpful in choosing wines. We had a charcuterie board, olives, gnocchi, half chicken, Caesar salad, and cioppino. It was all to die for. Probably the richest and most flavorful gnocchi I have had in my life. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly!

This place is in a nice location in downtown and usually fairly easy parking when I drive through there, might be a little more packed on weekends, but plenty of side streets have parking as well. I came here with my cousin on a weekday, the place was fairly empty with only a few other tables occupied. The restaurant is very well decorated and there is plenty of seating inside and the patio. We sat at one of the high top bar tables and enjoyed people watching. The food is delicious. I got the mushroom sandwich which is a tad messy to eat but so good I didn't mind. Cousin got a salad which she enjoyed. Pricing is fairly typical, though more than I usually like to spend for a casual lunch.

We came for dinner and ordered the pumpkin espresso martini. It was very good. Our service was great. The food was also delicious. We ate on the patio. 10/10

Outstanding . Shawn was fantastic. Very helpful with ordering , and service ! Very attentive . Give this man a raise ! The espresso martini was a bit too creamy . But the white sangria was great ! I wanted a corona and he said they didn't offer it but , made it happen ! What a gem! The food never disappoints. We ordered the avocado toast (they do not skimp on it !) + chicken salad croissants (super messy , so maybe don't wear black like us ) Ambiance is always welcoming , clean and good energy !

Met a group of friends here for lunch on Saturday morning. We had a table of 7 and I believe someone in our party made a reservation. Arrived and had a nice table off to the right of the resturant. There were other diners in the room, there was also a room toward the right of where we were sat, not sure how big that room was. Food was great. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the brunch menu, but we were there for brunch. There is no off menu ordering, brunch menu is active until the dinner menu comes out. Our server was friendly and efficient. Our drinks were continuously filled and plates cleared. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with tasty syrup. Again, I wish I took a picture of the menu as the plates had lots of great stuff included. Not pictured are the spinach salads and the key lime pie that was had. Everyone loved their food. Great service, great atmosphere. Lots of parking around the restuarant. I will be back to try the dinner menu~

We recently celebrated a special birthday with dinner in the Bistro's wine cellar room. Our 24 guests were able to order off the regular menu, were served in a timely manner and the food was wonderful. Great service throughout the evening and beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend.

Came for lunch to scope the place out as a potential to use for our wedding rehearsal dinner and can tell you it's definitely not going to be utilized nor will we return.* Loads of cursing coming from behind the bar* Hearing the f-word dropped constantly from waitress/bartender* Incredibly slow service... one salad came out after 25ish mins of being seated, then the rest of the food over 20 mins later* Continually having to ask for things ordered, the check, and finally asking a completely different person for itFood was good but overpriced. Glad to have tried so I can tell all wedding guests to skip it.

i overheard sean (older guy) the server refer to a woman dining at the restaurant as a "fat ugly pig". very unprofessional, especially to say it as i was within ear shot. that is not how women should be talked about. this was years ago so i am unsure if he still works there but i recently developed an addiction to yelp so i had to make a review for this place

Horrible services!!Inexperienced bartender had no interest in service. We waited 15 mins for first drink and closed out our tab after waiting for more than 30 minutes for the second round. Another staffer took our money and hung out with the waitresses for another 10 minutes. Service industries are about service, and the service here was sub par.
