Belmar Villa Assisted Living

Do not know where to start with this facility.1- One of the staff borough $400 from my mother in law and then got fired can was never paid back.2- The 1st smell when you walk in is of urine through the whole facility.3- My mother in law kept a journal and in this journal there were periods of 6 days without being helped out of bed.4- We were under the impression that they were cleaning her Room weekly. Come to find out her Old coworkers were coming in and cleaning the Room weekly.5- One she moved out of the facility they refused to return any of her narcotic prescriptions. Which they do not have a pharmacist on staffed and have no rights to keep narcotic prescriptions. forcing us to pay out of pocket to get a the prescriptions refilled.6- last time My mother in law went to the hospital no one from the facility ever called us and my wife is the power over tourney. The time before this hospital trip my mother along left the facility in her manual will chair and was not seen all day or heard a from, Again no phone call was received from this facility. She was found Unconscious on railroad tracks in her manual wheel chair on conscious and somebody stole Her purse and phone why is she was on conscious.7- Constantly they have told us that they are understaffed. And that is why they can not get her out of bed and less it's at 6 o'clock when they come around To get her out of bed and that will be her only chance they told her because they do not have the staff to come back a second time.8- On the weekends they only staff two people to service between 50 and 75 Clients.9- I could keep going but what's the point this place is a horrible facility and you should try to avoid it at all cost. My older sister put my mother here and I am not satisfied with this establishment at all. When we first arrived here, nothing was prepared to receive my mother. The shared room they were putting her in was not ready. Her side of the room was filthy and disgusting. The bed needed wiping down, the dresser needed wiping...full of dust! The floor hadn't been swept nor mopped. I had to ask a lady not sure if she was a CNA or janitor, if I could use the broom to sweep. I was very upset that nothing was cleaned and ready for my mother. My younger sister had to go to the store to get Clorox wipes, bed sheets and a blanket for my mother. Nothing! was organized to make room for my mother and her things. When I asked the administrator why wasn't anything ready for my mother knowing she was coming, the administrator took no accountable and put the blame on my older sister that she didn't tell them if she was bringing my mother and things. Unacceptable and unprofessional!. The pictures that are posted on yelp, are old. The rooms and outside look nothing like the pictures at all! At first glance it seems decent at the front outside and inside. But as you get further to the hall ways/rooms not so much. This place is very run down. Rooms look gloomy and the floor boards in the room is seeping some brownish black goop. The beds are out dated. The room is stuffy and hot. As for staff I am not sure how I feel about it but I have met a couple of CNA's that seem nice and helpful. Also we were told my siblings and I, that we can call the facility Med Tech anytime to check in on my mother when we aren't able to go visit. But it seems like when me and my other siblings try to call, to do a check up or speak with our mother the phone just rings or goes to voicemail. Overall, if I had a say I wouldn't have my mother here!

I LOVED working here! Great Management! THE BEST CREW! Belmar Villa prepared me for my career in the healthcare field and I am PROUD to say I was trained by THE BEST! I learned essential skills from Belmar that I use now that Im a CNA. Belmar Villa shaped me into who i am today Thank You Belmar Villa for preparing me for the rest of my life! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

This is the worst facility to ever work or living at.. I'm so embarrassed to say I used to work here this place is ran down to the ground they only put two staff on the floor on PM shift or sometimes one which I was made work alone lots of times for the whole facility they have bed bugs and the food the serve will give everyone diarrhea all the time it's to be assistant living Majority of the facility wears briefs which need to be changed not enough supplies were given to change everyone on the weekends The whole place stinks like urine Horrible hostel environment with other staff ... staff would be asking residents to buy them sodas from the vending machine or chips or when they would ask them to call to get fast food delivered for them staff would want to eat with them which is so inappropriate The management was so inappropriate She would have her boyfriend sitting in the lobby with her most of the day flirting with him not doing her job allowing stuff in the back to goof off on a.m. shift and do nothing about it she would allow staff to tell other staff were to do this place is just horrible I would not put my love one here so please don't!
