Arrived around 7:30pm with some friends and stayed until closing time.. it was THAT fun. I have never experienced any place like this before and I genuinely enjoyed myself so much. As an adult, it definitely allowed my inner child to thrive :)You pay a fee per person to gain access to all board games in the store. They have your typical classics like checkers, Monopoly, Candyland, and Operation all the way to board games I have never heard before. Each board game has color coordinated stickers that determine the overall difficulty of the game, as well as how many people are needed to play. This makes the search for a game much more organized and a lot less intimidating since there are so many games to look through. Honestly, I can understand why some people would want to be here all day long. I don't blame them! They also offer a great selection of loose-leaf hot teas and beers. I ordered their Golden Flower hot tea and didn't need any sugar or honey to add into it, it was great on its own. I also ordered their strawberry matcha drink (I think it's limited time..?) and wasn't too fond of it. It was very grainy and they used artificial strawberry sauce instead of fresh strawberries. My friends ordered some beers and they all enjoyed it very much. All beers are on tap! There are no food options, only some small snacks like brownies.. but if you'd like something to eat, there are places around the plaza you can go to. We ordered some food next door and we were able to bring it in with no issues! Of course, make sure to not make a mess and clean up after yourself. In conclusion, this place is perfect for a friend/family hangout or even just a casual date with your partner! Be prepared to spend many, many hours here because you will be amazed at how many games they have to offer. Thank you to the kind woman who worked the counter tonight! Your hospitality means a lot :)

Great spot for games and drinks! The seating areas were simple but comfortable and clean. This is a very casual atmosphere, perfect for friends, family or group meet ups. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. It would be nice if they had some more snack or food options though. Currently it's just small bags of chips available to purchase, there might have been one other small item but I don't remember. The bathroom looked clean overall and had all the basics but there could have been a little extra detail cleaning done for better appearance.

The dude and I came to Beer For The Meeples on 05/23/22 on a Monday night. We have been anticipating this place to open for months as if you know the dude and I we are totally a board game junkies. LOVE them! Plus it is walking distance to our living area so we didn't have to worry about driving which was nice if we wanted to help ourselves to several drinks. Upon entering you are greeted with a lovely atmosphere! Soft music playing in the background. There was a group in and a couple when we arrived. It was very clean inside too and organized. We walked up to the counter and the owner Wilson and his employee Collins were so wonderful and pleasant! My excitement for this place was like 9/10. Wilson introduced himself to us and gave us information about this place. With the pandemic Clovis and the Fresno area needs a place like this! Whether you come solo, group or date night this is the spot to connect, be social and meet new people who have something in common wanting A GOOD time. Wilson let us know that are options for closed play (just the people you came with) and open play (allowing others to join you). I'm such a social butterfly I enjoy playing games with a lot of people and it is fun getting to know new people. Collins helped us picked out a game and they will even offer to teach you new games as well which is nice. The dude of course picked Mouse Trap of all games! I am surprised it is for 6 years old and up as it was so complicated xD adult intervention is definitely needed but it was a fun challenge. Wilson would come over periodically and check on us along with Collins. Our drinks were delivered and my Dark Horse was so delicious!!! I really enjoyed it and it wasn't bubbly which was a plus. Went down so smooth. They also have snacks, desserts, and food. The dude and I tried the breakfast croissant which was very tasty, I gave it a 8/10. We didn't try any desserts but maybe next time. After mouse trap Wilson and Collins along with John who we met there we all played a pretty cool game. I forgot the name but it was pretty fun - it was a deep sea game. Wilson kept taking my yellow Meeple which was hilarious and made the game even more entertaining. They gave us pointers and strategies as well. The dude ended up wining. I would recommend that game ! I got too greedy and ended up not making it back to the submarine and lost all my treasure xDMy only recommendation would be having a small bar area if people just want to chill and watch the games being played. Other than that It was really fun! I highly recommend this place. The dude and I will probably be regulars. You do have to pay a cover to play which is not bad and pretty affordable date, outing or hang out. Bring your friends, co workers, family if you just want to unwind from a long day! They also have gaming events if you check their Facebook page which is pretty cool! Nice to see a community of board gamers come together! Yay!Cool concept, great staff, cool owner, good drinks . Can't wait to come back again :D

So MUCH fun! This is such a delightful place to spend time in Fresno. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were greeted warmly. The staff took time to explain their set up and even suggested the perfect game for a party of 4, first time visitors. You pay a small fee for unlimited game use on their large gaming tables. They have so many to chose from , classic, vintage, and so many new games we had never heard of and want to try out. They have coffee , tea, and awesome, local, Craft beer on tap! We had one of our favs, Procreations Brewing. They also had some snacks and cookies for sale. We ordered me n Ed's from next door, there are quite a few close by food options. Cute game themed decor. Fun for all ages, definitely will be back.

This is a great place to go if you want to explore and find new boardgames to play. The staff are super knowledgeable, and very engaging! They ask a couple questions and make recommendations for games to try.. and then they check in on you to explain how to play the game! We did the stay and play for $6 per person and bought a guava beer (super refreshing). The first game recommended was a co-op game called MicroMacro, explained to us as "whodunit Where's Waldo." The second game was Quest for El Dorado. Maybe my partner and I are easily pleased with all games, but the 2 recommended to us were super fun! Environment-wise, the space is very relaxed and friendly. You have a choice in the tag you get to play with others or stay with the group you came with. My partner and I stuck together, but I'm sure there will be more visits where we play with new people as well!

Meeples is a new go-to. Delicious brews, conscientious and professional staff, and even fellow welcoming patrons. Absolutely going again, and as often as possible. The main draw besides what is on tap is of course the array of over 400 board games featuring everything you'd expect when you hear the words to games that would make the more discerning board game aficionado give a knowing smile. My wife and I were welcomed in and dealed in to a series of games we hadn't tried before by staff and another customer and had a blast. They were even down to try a game we brought along, and we joined in for a game someone else had brought with them too. Super impressed with the high standards the employees and business set themselves to. I'll be bringing my friends by asap.

Had a great time here! Enjoyed the selection of games, food and service. Ambiance was great, although would be nice if only board and no video game players. Bring back old school and force people to have human interaction without screens!!
