I love Bass Lake. My tips:In the summer, go early on weekends, like before 8, for a space.More water in the lake means a much smaller beach.Pick up your trash and some extra so you leave it better than you found it.Remember you are sharing space with others, including bears and birds. We don't want to hear your music. I am speaking for everyone.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful day and site today. On our visit here. It was not overcrowded at all. The water was nice and warm with smooth sand under my toes. After enjoying the water and seeing all of the boats in the water. We walked back to the top to barbecue and eat. The fee to enter is $10 but it's for all day, and allows you to exit and enter with the same parking/entrance pass. There are even clean on site restrooms with flushable toilets. Once we left here we checked into an airbnb, really cute cabin for the night.

I love Bass lake, yes it's helpful to have your own boat as we do. If you don't have a boat you can always rent one or just go with someone who has one. The lake is busy on weekends since it is the summer time but we decided to stay a little longer and are here on a Monday. We were able to find a peaceful cove with no boats and chill here. We also have a yellow lab and boxer and they currently are having a blast frolicking in the water and up on the land. Bass lake is a great time whether you have a ton of family and kids or just a peaceful getaway by yourself!

Be ware this is not part of the National parks recreational areas!Me and my girl we're somewhat adventurous so we grabbed some pillows and blankets and headed out to Yosemite National Park to do some hiking we decided to checkout this lake because we also own a Yamaha boat and thought we may bring it here some day. We had recently seen some reports linking this town to racism in Instagram but decided to give it a shot anyway, it is a beautiful lake.We got there around 1:00 am pulled over to take a nap and then we woke up to a truck riddle with pro Trump stickers right next to us. (dang ) We went for a morning walk around the lake and noticed a lot of the houses were decorated very patriotic but also somewhat reminiscent of the south. We came back to the car to go for a swim the park's attendant was collecting the 10 dollar fees, which by the way the posted signs say is for all day users so I asked if I had to pay since we're leaving in a few minutes? He said yes I went ahead and paid but I couldn't helped but to noticed the way this guy is staring at me and my girlfriend! (Racism spewed from his face)I used the bathroom to change and when I came out a second group of Latinos was asking questions about the lake I swear this as-hole tells them they have to pay double because they're wearing a Mexico's jersey at the same time he's giving them the same look.Anyway, raza be carful when you come here!

This is a very nice lake to see from any point as well as fishing for bass, hence it's namesake. There are shops, restaurants off the lake like the recommended Ducey's On the Lake to soaked in the scenic view during dining. If you're staying at the World Mark...it's a very short walk to the lake from their resort - just look for the white open fence.

I like Bass Lake. We have been here a couple of times. In the summer the lake is warm and makes for an enjoyable swim. You can rent boats on the west side at the Forks resort. FYI, grab a burger while you are there as well. It is totally yum!The downside is that the lake is surrounded by homes. There isn't a great wilderness scene while enjoying the lake. For that type of a view, head over the sierras to June Lake. It is a bit of a drive but awesome! What did I learn today? There are a lot of people from the Fresno area that vacation here for the weekend.

Bass lake has no Hook ups and very rough not level camping spots. The thing that pisses me off the most about camping there is that when I got there the camp manager came up and told me that I have to pay $10 a day for parking my vehicle. This is not mentioned at all in the reservations.gov site where I got the reservation. I checked the boxes for the size of my RV and the extra car I would be towing, I paid for the reservation. So why would I be charged $10 cash when I go to the campsite by the camp manager? Oh yeah it had to be paid cash! I think the managers have a scam going and reservation.gov is clueless about it.
