Barb's Soulfood

Wow, everything today was delicious! Barb's Soulfood was at Tioga, we've been wanting to try this food truck. My husband ordered three of the chicken dinners which was chicken wings not a variety of pieces, which I assumed from the price. the taste made up for it. (Except now I would really like a juicy chicken breast.) We also got the combo/marathon. Glad we did because the fried fish and shrimp are worth the additional price. The shrimp has a light batter, I really liked them and will order a shrimp dinner the next time. Our sides were string beans with bacon - YUMM they were still hot when I dug in, collard greens - yeah, YUMM (not too salty which is key for me) and potato salad - YUM again (heavy on the mustard as it should be)!. We also had a slice of sweet potato pie, YUMMM!Do yourself a favor and try Barb's Soulfood!

Get the marathon! You won't regret it. The chicken was nice and crispy. The fish and shrimp seasoning were delicious!! I loved the potato salad and the other sides I got. The banana pudding was sooo yummy. Can't wait to try this food truck again.

We got the opportunity to try Barb's yesterday... omg.. so delicious! Great food, big portions and super friendly, quick service! We tried the chicken, shrimp, potato salad, Mac and cheese, collard greens, green beans, cornbread, peach cobbler and a kool aid to top it off! We had a feast! Lol. Go try it for yourself, you won't be let down!

When I saw that there was a soulfood food truck. I was excited. We decided to give this food truck a try due to wanting to try something new and wanting to support local for Yelp's Big Night In. They had a lot of success in Germany so I was elated to try them. Please be mindful that this is my first experience with this food truck so this is my personal experience, it may change. Other experiences could be different. I sent my husband to pick up the food. We each got a combo plate. One was fried chicken and came with two sides. I asked for collard greens and cornbread. They were out of collared greens so I got a potato salad. My husband got a fried fish combo for $14 with cornbread and potato salad. If you notice on my pictures, there are pictures of corn bread with each combo, however, those were the only two that came with each combo plate. Kind of a ripoff if you notice the size difference. My husband's fried fish combo came with only those three pieces of fish, one of those corn bread and potato salad. For $14, it was not worth it. My fried chicken combo was $12 and had a lot of pieces and if they gave me that big piece of cornbread, then, it was worth $12. It needed more salt and cornbread was a little burned. While we do want them to succeed, we were very underwhelmed. Not feeling Barbs.

It was just so amazing!!! They have really good green beans and collard greens as sides. And fried shrimp and fried fish is so amazingWow I am so glad we can get this "home made" style food in fresno. I hope they open for longer time and available more days. But thank you for providing such a good food to us

Awesome. Some I stopped by Tioga Sequoia for beers. Had a hot dog before going. On my way to the car I see this other food truck. I was fool but figured I would try just a piece. Awesome, Awesome Awesome. Headed back to take some home for later.Edit: OK, the fried Fish and Shrimp also Awesome.

The fish and chicken were excellent I tried this place for the first time at Barb's drive in and was hella impressed. Definitely worth the price for the amount of food they hook it up with

Barbs is the spot. Everything on the menu is amazing. For a new business they are killing it. The fried fish is my favorite entree. Can't miss the banana pudding either!

We had Barb's Soulfood food truck do a "lunch to-go" for all of our employees last week. We served over 90 to-go lunches. They did an outstanding job. Super friendly staff. Delicious food. I LOVED the wings...some of the best I've had. My husband loved the fish. And don't get me started on the beans and potato salad...two of my faves and they nailed it. Love them both! I highly recommend Barb's Soulfood.

Omg! Best food in town! This place is bomb from fried chicken to the shrimp and especially all of the deserts! Must try!!!! Thank you Barb for bringing good soul food to Fresno!! Mark
