Banh Mi Licious

Finally got the chance to try this, it's close to my house so that is a plus. No complaints about the food, everything was fresh and satisfying.Seating was comfortable and restaurant had a nice atmosphere to it. Owner came out to chat with us and see how everything was. I like the fact they bake the bread fresh and it shows.This place looses a full star for the 3% cc fee, l find it very petty and it's offputting. I just subtract it from the tip honestly... just increase the price to cover that swipe fee as part of your overhead/ cost of doing business. It's tacky.

So, my first time there, I ordered to go. I've been back twice since then, and dined in both times.Place:+ Still nice and clean. Bathroom was clean as well. I noticed that all the tables and booths could only accommodate up to 4 persons, so if you have a party of 5 or more, you'll have to sit separately.Food:+ Soup: we tried their beef stew soup with a piece of bread. The soup tasted good. It had pieces of beef, tendons, and carrots. The meat was tender. - Sandwiches tasted okay. - Bread (for beef stew soup or used for sandwiches) tasted as it should, but was cold. We're so used to other bahn mi places serving us sandwiches with warm/toasted bread that we were surprised they did not do it here. Service:+ Staff took my order correctly. + Greeted us and took care of us immediately.+ Wait time was decent. There were 2 tables with patrons in addition to ours. - There is a 3% charge for paying with a credit card.- They brought us the food, but we had to ask for everything else: napkins, utensils (some of us had soup)- No one checked on us or refilled our water. Conclusion: For now, we are not too impressed.

came on first day of soft opening, all the staff was still trying to get the hang of things which i understand. At the time they were only serving the combo sandwich. In my opinion, the bread was good, it's a plus that it's freshly made but it honestly lacked some flavor. Not sure if it was just the days i came and ordered the combo sandwich but it really didn't taste like much.the picked veggies really helped. Came back two more times after, both times around 10:00-10:15 when they open. requested a grilled pork sandwich and they said it wouldn't be ready till 11 so i opted for the pork belly sandwich, which tasted ok. came back another day and asked for pho , they said it wouldn't be ready until 11. my thing is if you're gonna open the doors, everything should be ready to go. not sure if they need to come in earlier to finish prepping everything or open later so they have time to prep everything lol. i keep coming back because this is extremely close to my house and it's convenient to stop by right before work or class. other than that, the owners are extremely nice and attentive. the place is super cute, and they're drinks taste okay. ordered the guava iced tea one time, asked for it half sweet but it was soooo sweet. came back and tried the taro and i loved it. it's hard to find a good place that does good taro milk tea.

Good ambiance & service was pleasant. They just soft opened on Monday. ORDERED:Fishcake bahn miRoast Pork bahn miCombo bahn miMeatball bahn miChar Siu bahn miOverall, the bread is crispy, but doesn't rip your gums open. They're all nicely stuffed with/both meat & veg (only roast pork was a little light on meat). The veg is pickled but not sweetened. Meatball was a bit of a shocker (flavored like the beef stew & a bit wet). Fishcakes were very very mild but still good. Flavor was good overall, but better when I got home & added more kewpie & hoisin sauce. Definitely the best I've had here in Fresno & I've gone to Sandwich Shop, Le Bahn Mi, Paris Bahn Mi & Lee's. Love that the parking right in front of the store has an awning!

11/5/24 Greeted upon entering. Very nice restaurant. Safe and clean. I wasn't sure what to get. Steak Pho or Banh Mi Cha bong Ga. (Chicken floss). Ended up picking the the Banh Mi Cha bong Ga. Mainly because the worker showed me it and it looked good. Ordered it without butter. The worker was Great! Happy to help and inform. Paid for the order and given the receipt for the order to be called. Short wait and order was brought to me with good day wishes! Appreciated! Lunchtime! Large! Half is plenty! Pretty disappointing. The "chicken floss" was barely there. Very little. There was more of the veggie than chicken. The veggies were fresh. The bread was too,Great service! I gave an extra star for that!Okay Banh Mi Cha bong Ga.. I'm sure it would have had more flavor & been better if I included the butter. Maybe I should've got the steak pho instead? Oh well!

New place. Close by home. I've been looking for a banh mi sandwich that would satisfy my craving for a banh mi. This place will suffice. I ordered the combo which was loaded with pork ham, pepper pork ham, pork skin ham, beef ham, jambon, chai siu, and chicken floss. It is a very taste sandwich. This place is much to be desired. It's got a great atmosphere. This was a soft opening and they are planning to expand their menu that includes pho. This is one of the better places in the area. I would suggest others to give them a shot. It is a place with great atmosphere and good service. Lots of potential. Make this place a must try.

Chicken pho was good with lots of chicken. The beef stew and traditional banh mi were good too. Friendly family restaurant.

I've been very excited for this shop to open, but I found based on the vegetarian banh mi alone, it's okay. The bread is tasty and soft, but a little on the small side for $10. The tofu was a bit rubbery and didn't hold much flavor. The pickles were decent, but were the only thing adding moisture to the sandwich itself. The service was great though, the staff are friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The shop is very nicely decorated and I can see returning for a sit down lunch (I got takeout) to experience it properly and perhaps update this review.

First time here. Average food but very slow service for a small takeout order on a very slow Sunday. Only up side is it's the only bánh mì shop nearby this area.
