Apple market Porterville

Great grocery store, with a wide selection of hispanic and asian foods. However, on my last trip I experienced a very long wait time at the register. An older employee was chatting to other workers which held up the line for a considerable amount of time, so much so that I thought about abandoning my cart and going to the Vallarta. Another worker who looks considerably younger was quite kind to me and helpful in finding products I was looking for. Aside from the wait in the line, the ambiance was lovely, including music, and a well stocked store. I would definitely come back.

Definitely stop here. This is one of the best small local vibe grocery stores I have been to. Everyone was friendly. The produce was fresh and so affordable!

This place sucks ass now because the new owner changed the store policy where they no longer take ebt food stamps for their hot food and cold food. I used to buy $50 worth of their noodles here with my friend because it was the best thing they had and the fact that ebt food stamps covered it was very nice for those who struggle with money but the new owner sucks now thinking he's going to profit off of no longer allowing ebt food stamps for the food.

It's been many years since I have been here. But, today I had a reason for my visit. I was asked to meet with the owner to discuss business strategy.Vientiane specializes with products for the Latino and Asian shoppers. Everything you would find at your larger ethnic supermarkets such as El Super and 99 Ranch, you will find here (without driving to the big cities)I am impressed with their selection of Filipino groceries, Asian Vegetables and Fresh Fish. As well as a large selection of Latino foods, Marinated Meats and prepared hot foods.I like Vientiane , they have all the items I need for my Asian household and my favorite Cakes from Lee Lin Bakery ***Kim , your store rocks ! Two thumbs up , great job ***

I cannot believe that I have only recently found this place. What a superb destination if you crave for good Asian produce and products. Place also sells seafood, meat and poultry. They have a hot case that has daily made fried rice, noodles and pancit. I tried the pancit with shrimp it was nice and spicy. They also sell chinese egg rolls and lumpias (filipino egg rolls). I like getting my thai chilis here (fresh) and bok choy (also fresh). The market is indoors and vast with a wide selection of fresh and frozen items. Staff is very helpful and provide excellent service. This is definitely going to be a go to place for me.

This place it's an awesome place to purchase all your needed groceries in contrast to their bad customer service.Over the weekend I stopped by and witnessed an unexpected negative situation.One of their cashier who has blonde hair really displayed an ugly attitude as she served me and other customers.Is not the first time this happens. I've gone other times and was attended with the same manner. seems like such individual lacks of people skills or really dislikes her job.

On a recent visit, I couldn't find the Thai chiles. An employee asked me if I was looking for something and I told him what I needed. He stopped what he was doing (stocking shelves) and went with me to look in the produce department. There was nothing there. He asked another person (maybe one of the owners) and he said that there should be some in the back storage refrigerator. They quickly went back and asked the person tending that area to package up some of the chiles. They seemed very eager to please. It might be because they were the new owners and wanted to make a good impression, but either way, I thought that they went a little above and beyond to attend to me. I also had a good experience/conversation with one of the employees in the meat department. No problems at the checkout either. The store was clean and well-stocked.

Do you want to experience a rude attitude while being checkout after grocery shopping head down to Apple Market. One of the girls seems like she's a pro at attending customers with attitude. She just comes out extremely rude. Great meat, seafood and produce. Management just needs to work better with their cashiers.

Usually love going here but I guess you have to watch the food you buy now. They are relabeling old food and change dates.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Worst market ever. The cashiers are theives. I purchased only 1 item and they charged me for 2 items. Noticed an extra charge of 50 cents on my receipt when I didn't purchase No bag or anything taxable. Only bought I vegetable. Best to check your receipt before you leave. My wife also told me that she's heard of people complaining about them doing that too.
