Angry Chickz - Fresno

I stopped by Fresno Angry Chickz last night, hoping it would by as good as my home locations near Sac State and Sunrise Mall. It wasn't terrible, but it was also not that great. If this were my first time eating at Angry Chickz, I don't think I would come back. The wait was long, which I don't mind when the food is good. But, the wait was much longer than it usually is in Sacramento, and the food was nowhere near as good. To be fair, it did look like they may have been short staffed on this particular occasion. I ordered an Angry Mac, hot. The cashier asked me, with a very concerned look, if I'd ever tried the hot before, which I thought was kind of funny. But, I get it. The chicken really is hot. I normally love spicy food, but the extra hot and above are too much for me. Once I received my bowl, the first thing I noticed was that it was absolutely loaded to the brim. As stuffed as could be. We were off to a good start.I took a bite of the Mac and cheese, and was confused. It tasted good, but different from Sac.Eventually, I realized that Sac and Fresno load their bowls differently. Sac ends with the hot chicken on top, sprinkled in extra seasoning, and drizzled in sauce.This bowl had the Mac and cheese on top, and was not sprinkled with seasoning or drizzled with sauce. Maybe they gave me the guera version. There was barely any chicken. It really seemed like they had shorted me on the chicken, and only gave me one chopped tender instead of two. I've ordered this bowl multiple times in Sacramento, and it's always had substantially more chicken. Fries, too. This bowl was mostly Mac and cheese. Again, it's not that it was bad, but I wouldn't pay nearly twenty dollars for a big bowl of Mac and cheese...I was expecting a much larger proportion of chicken and fries. The customer service was friendly, and it was clean enough given how busy they were. I would say I would give them another try, but I noticed that my favorite one of their competitors is about to open up nearby...Overall, while Angry Chickz isn't my favorite hot chicken place, I like their food enough to keep coming back once every couple of months or so.

I felt like getting Angry Chickz today since I haven't had it in a while and it was bomb! I got the Angry Mac(a hefty-sized bowl) and everything tasted really good. I love spicy food, but sometimes it hurts my stomach so I went with the medium spice level. The chicken was very tender and juicy! That's always a plus! Great spice flavor, and great sauce. The lady that greeted me was nice and the place was very clean. It's always fun to look at the mural on the wall and the dabbing chicken.

Great food. Excellent service. The hostess takes your order and will guide you if it's your first time ordering. Great ambiance but I think it should be bigger because they are so popular. It's a must try for everyone.

Let's talk about this place.. Now first off when my wife told me there's a place with Angry Chickz that was all about strips I was like, "Well let's go!!" Walking in it was not what I was expecting, yes there was music playing (and good music too)... With 4 TV's and great lighting we were greeted by friendly staff... The menu, simple...Chicken strips (just for now while it's working its way through college).SlawFries Butter rice (a sleeper for sure)Mac n Cheese ( don't you dare pass this up) Now let's talk about the kicker... It's all about the spice!!This place has a waiver for the hot stuff and yes it's fire...Fire in flavor, fire in taste and fire in heat...If you're brave, start with the hot... When you're ready to step up your game get angry and see how that goes for you... I'm still crying and sweating as I write this review... And I'll be back next week for more..

Varuzhan is beyond incredible! He made our Angry Chickz experience a memorable one. I will absolutely be back for the food, atmosphere and especially the customer service. 10 plus 's!!!

Very delicious chicken sandwich, with just the right amount of heat. Staff friendly and overall, it was a pretty good lunch. Also the amount that I paid I'm not entirely sure I will go back. Location around one in the afternoon on a Sunday with some friends. The place was busy. About half of the dining room was filled when I got there. And there was a line of this at 6 people ahead of me. Honestly, this made me very excited to try this place.First off let's talk about the location. The inside of the restaurant works like a fast food place. No frills dining rooms, with just a space for about 30 to 40 people. The bathroom is dirty, rundown, and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Let's talk about the food. Chicken slider sandwiches that I ordered were cooked perfectly. The chicken was perfectly moist, and the medium level heat was just right. The slaw was fresh, and the pickles were dill. They were tasty sandwiches. The fries that came with them were also great. It tasted as though they added some of the spicy seasoning to the fries as well. Again, pretty tasty.All things considered, this is a pretty good place to go. However if I'm going to be spending $16, I likely will not be spending it here. If food was pretty good good, but the location was not. If I go to this place again, I will likely get my food to go.

so I been coming here they were doing good at first but now they just having me waste my money! They didn't even cover my bottom with Mac & cheese they said I have to pay more?!? like I spent $14.00 already & more bc you guys don't want to give a good portion like do better! & then giving little bit of fries then forgot my pickles when I'm being charged that to! like I'm spending alot of money on good food but you guys want to not give a good portion & then the way they didn't cut my chicken & gave me a little bit & in the picture I had to cut it bc again I was hungry so there for if you want to get your moneys worth of food you have to pay extra which is stupid

Horrible customer service service Kim was vey rude never want to come again food was ok

Good food but the "mild" is WAY too spicy more than one time that I've been there. Confirmed both times it was the mild but the chicken was covered in spice.
