Angelini's Italian Restaurant

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, excellent service! Our large party was happily accommodated. We sampled and shared several items from the menu, and everything was great. A must try appetizer is the bruschetta with prosciutto, arugula and fig jam!

My partner and I came to eat here after visiting a pumpkin patch in Turlock. The ambiance was cute and clean. I had never had mozzarella sticks in the way they were served but they were quite tasty! I had an eggplant ravioli special , but it was served lukewarm and a little undercooked which was disappointing. My partner enjoyed his dish okay , but was not particularly impressed. The service was good and the food was just okay - really enjoyed our appetizer but the main dishes did not meet our standards for pasta.

My kids go to school down the street and I had some free time before their next Christmas performance. Decided to take myself to lunch (which is rare). I was greeted immediately upon entering and asked for a table for 1. I was directed to a booth and a waitress came to get my drink order, while the one who sat me brought me some bread and butter. I asked for help with wine and we settled on a pinot noir. She asked if I wanted to hear the specials, which I did and ended up ordering the pumpkin ravioli special. I opted for the dinner, which also comes with soup and salad. The soup is a house made minestrone and the salad had a blend of greens, kidney beans, tomatoes, carrots and I chose ranch. The carrots were sliced, leaving them pretty crunchy. My ravioli was delicate and perfectly cooked. You can tell their pasta is made by hand. It came in a light cream sauce with nutmeg and pecans. I will definitely be returning to try some other items. I few mos back, I had their lobster ravioli and it was good chunks of lobster in a better cream sauce. I might try the manicotti next time.

Way overpriced unless you are their friends, you don't get good service. The food did not have much flavor I had to over salt everything and the chicken was extremely dry, and the white was green and separated.

We waited 25 minutes, which was fine for four people. We ordered appetizers along with our food. The waitress brought us our salad and soup right away. We waited a long while before our appetizers. The calamari was good. The garlic bread with cheese was really good. After that we probably waited an hour for our food. My shrimp was cold and so overdone the texture was horrible. My kids were unable to eat their pizza because it was extremely hot and super crisp. My husband's chicken Parmesan was old chicken, the color and texture wasn't right. Overall very pricey and not the best food.

It is with a sad heart that I write this review. We have been coming to Angelini's for a long time. During which, we have seen the prices continue to rise, as the portions got smaller. The customer service is usually pretty decent. However, our most recent experience left us wanting for something more. Our waitress basically took our order and that was it. She was so busy waiting on other tables, that she deferred us to other workers. She couldn't even be bothered to come pick up her cash tip. Really? Wow! In addition, it was upsetting that she instructed the runner NOT to give us containers that would prevent spilling, since they contained sauce. Even though it was explained to the runner multiple times, she refused and provided boxes instead of sauce containers (claiming they didn't have any, which was not true!) As you can see from the photos, on the way home food shifted and spilled. Is the customer always right? Not at this restaurant apparently. A few times back, we were overcharged for items we have never been charged for in the past (or since that time), which I found odd.The ambiance is nothing to really complain/or write home about, it pretty much looks the same every time. Almost always crowded too...Albeit, almost all of the items on the menu we have tried are delicious, and of course we have our favorites. However, on this particular night, I'm sorry, Angelini's fell short of the mark. It makes me not want to return. It is a long way to go for an expensive meal with mediocre service!

The food was absolutely delicious I enjoyed every taste and the marinara sauce was divine. The service was fantastic and I felt very happy about how they attended us for anything. The atmosphere felt peaceful and welcoming. Having dinner here was worth every dollar and bringing the family together for a special time. I love it

I had my first meal at Angelini's today and found the experience "meh" for the following reasons. First, let me compliment the servers with reservations. I was meeting others and was seated promptly, with the appetizer and glass of wine I ordered served promptly and with good cheer. When my friends arrived, we ordered in due form, and the food arrived shortly thereafter. We all ordered soup, but for some reason, the server didn't bring mine with theirs so I sat and waited to see if she would realize the mistake. She didn't. after a few minutes, I had to ask for the bowl, which was promptly brought. Clearly it had been either dumped in (overflow being clearly evident) or sloshed in transit. She placed it down in front of me and disappeared. This was the first time in all my years of dining (which includes Italy) that I wasn't offered parm cheese for the minestrone. (There's always a first). When the Caesar salad came, no cheese was offered again, but when I asked an ample portion was brought. Who knows? The chicken was dry and thin, maybe grilled, maybe grilled at the source. Thick and juicy it wasn't. The amount of dressing was thin also. Also, when my friends asked for water, none was offered to me (as would be the custom at other places). There was an air of "hurry" as we arrived at 1:30 with one of our members coming near their closing time of 2 pm. If you want to try them, come earlier and don't set expectations the same as other Italian restaurants. Overall, 3/5 is a fair rating.

The food here was fantastic! We loved everything we had. The calzone is massive and the pizza was super fresh. Service was great too. Can't wait to go back again!
