Ampersand Ice Cream

Ice cream so good you will want to forget about being diabetic. This place is an absolute spot we have been here probably over 50+ times and never had a bad scoop and the ice cream is so rich and amazing. Boujee ice cream stores are popping up all over the place in California and I have been to many different ones but this place takes the cake as numero uno. The line is long from like 7-10pm but honestly worth every minute of standing. 28X better then your nightly Ben & Jerry's and 10000x better then your 4 month old sherbet from high school still sitting in the back of your freezer Defiantly pop in for a scoop or twelve but don't be there before me because it might be all gone

Went in and the lady who helped us was kind and let us sample a few items. We enjoyed the honeycomb icecream as it had bits of honeycomb in it and wasn't overly sweetened. However, when we purchased 2 scoops of the honeycomb, we weren't sure if they mixed the honeycomb for the caramel flavored one, because our 2 scoops of honeycomb have ZERO honeycomb or chewy bits in it. It was full of sweet caramel only. Again, ZERO chunks of honeycomb and was super super sweet. I asked the lady who wrung us up if there was caramel in the honeycomb and she said, yes that there are honey bits in there that we should see. I told her we didn't haven't any honeycomb and it was purely caramel and she interjected and told me, "THAT'S HONEYCOMB."Never coming back again. Even if it was honeycomb, please explain why there's caramel in both scoops of icecream with ZERO honeycomb. On top of that, we've tried downtown Fresno location's honeycomb icecream and it was not overly sweet like this one and had chunks of honeycomb in it.

Incredible ice cream! The line was out the door and around the corner -- showing how popular this ice cream shop is. I was visiting family in the area and it was my first time here. I was sure to order a flight to taste as many flavors as possible. They have rotating flavors monthly and some fun flavors to try. We ordered Peanut Butter Chip, Taro & Mallows, Honeycomb, and Cocunut Caramel Cashew. My favorites out of these four were the Taro & Mallow as well as Honeycomb. The storefront is run by several young, friendly staff members who were very helpful throughout the process of ordering. They had some patio seating outside for us to sit and enjoy our ice cream. But it does get busy, many people were standing or taking their desserts to go. I enjoyed their creative, handwritten chalkboards displaying the flavors and the music to listen to as you wait in line.I plan to come back next time I am visiting the area!

Giving this place five stars because of their ice cream and friendly staff. The layout of this Ampersand is not my favorite, as you have to wait outdoors if the line is long. Seating indoors is limited but they do have outdoor seating. All of the times I've been to this location, they're usually sold out of at least one of the monthly flavors. They always have the original flavors though. You really can't go wrong with any of their ice creams and they have vegan ones too!

They also have pints available for those who want to enjoy their ice cream at home.I personally enjoyed the honeycomb, bordeaux, and drunken apple flavors. The honeycomb was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the bordeaux was a perfect balance of what I was looking for. The drunken apple was a seasonal flavor that was rich and flavorful.One of the great things about Ampersand is that you can sample the flavors before you choose. This is a great way to find your new favorite. The staff is also friendly and helpful.Overall, Ampersand Ice Cream is a solid choice for ice cream in Fresno. They have a good selection of flavors, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. If you're looking for a sweet treat, be sure to check them out.

Excellent, inventive, locally made ice cream known for using quality ingredients with interesting flavors and several vegan options. Recently we tried a single if black sesame in a cup ($4) served with biodegradable/compostable wooden spoon. Very solid roasted sesame flavor... Super smooth.We also had a flight which consists of four almost single sized scoops in a compartmental bowl. For the flight we tried several of their seasonal October flavors: butter beer(very similar in flavor to butter beer you can get at universal studios Harry Potter world), spiced Apple (like apple pie), lemon poppyseed (think Costco lemon poppyseed muffin...I think they may even use chunks of their muffins in the ice cream), and the vegan pumpkin spice made with oat milk.All were super tasty but hands down the favorite was butter beer! Accepts all standard forms of payment. Open late. Friendly helpful staff.

Been here a few times. Ice cream is always great. I love the variety of flavors you typically can't get elsewhere. This location always has a line that really takes awhile to get through. That's a good thing for them, but also speaks to staffing. This is why I frequent their other location.

Obsessed with ampersand ice-cream. The shop is cozy and nice. The staffs are really helpful and nice. All of the flavors are amazing

Honeycomb had barely any mix ins - a whole scoop only had two small pieces Hated the waffle cone because they put a lone chocolate chip at the base instead of coating with chocolate!! Ice cream was dripping out, the chocolate was like a rock, it was cheap chocolate which ruined the last bite
