Ampersand Ice Cream

Big thanks to Ampersand Ice Cream for being the first place my friends and I think of when we say we have room for dessert! I've frequented this location many times for late night dessert and the service here has always been quick and courteous. Every time I have visited, there has always been a line (sometimes out the door) but it never felt like we waited any more than 5 minutes. I appreciate how quick they get their clients in and out! I've only dined in about once or twice since the seating is limited. But there are both tables inside and right outside the shop. You just have to be lucky to grab one during rush hour!Rotating flavors every month and they're big on offering samples, just so you can find your right flavor. Grab a flight so you can try 4 flavors! On their permanent menu, I highly recommend the bordeaux and the mint chip.

Ampersand is nothing less than a 5 star ice cream shop. The layout is better than the Shepherd location, even if there's a long line you don't have to wait outdoors and there is plenty of seating. I appreciate that they have new monthly flavors and they use local ingredients. And this location usually has all of the monthly flavors in stock, even when you're coming in for a late night ice cream run. Of course their original flavors are exceptional as well. The honeycomb is my favorite! Best place for locally made ice cream!

I love the unique flavors. The ice cream has rich flavors and feels as healthy as ice cream can be. My favorite is the honeycomb and my daughter's is the whiskey caramel swirl. Though we also like the seasonal changes and appreciate that we get to try new flavors each month. The staff are consistently nice and friendly and the place is always clean and bright.

I love all the unique flavors that change with every visit. This time I got 2 sccoops which were nectarine sage & honey and mint chocolate chip. Their ice cream is always so creamy and not overly sweet. It was very refreshing after spending several hours in the Fresno heat and wanting to cool off a bit. The place is always busy but that just means it's good!

Planning our trip to Kings Canyon National Park I was on the lookout for Fresno ice cream shops and I found Ampersand Ice Cream. Nice modern looking shop and you can see the ice cream making machinery when you enter. I picked 3 pints to go.Strawberry was icy with tons of strawberry flavor from the strawberry bits.Vanilla was rich and creamy with a bold vanilla flavor. One of the strongest vanilla flavored ice creams I've come across.Flowers had a sweet creamy base with little pieces of flowers giving this treat a fresh floral flavor.Ampersand Ice Cream is constantly rotating their flavors so you never know what you will find here. I loved the flavors I tried. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the ice cream.

Ampersand Ice-cream is the best farm to table Ice-cream we have in Fresno. I usually go to the Tower District one because it is close by. There is usually a line out the door because the TD location is so small. However, we came to this ampersand because after my husband's escape room birthday, we needed a dessert. It's more spacious than the one in Tower. However, ice cream is still delicious. I usually get the honeycomb, but the seasonal five spice is so delicious and aromatic. I forgot the other flavor I got. I think it was drunken apple. The workers were very nice and efficient and icecream hardly ever melts. Ampersand is the ice cream place when coming to Fresno.

I stumbled upon Ampersand Ice Cream Shop thanks to my friend Raul, who suggested we swing by after another awesome Yelp Elite event nearby. And let me tell you, I'm so glad we did!First off, the ice cream here is top-notch. Made right on site, it's clear they put a lot of love and care into their creations. The flavors are truly unique and offer a refreshing change from the usual. I tried one made with lemon zest and edible flowers, and it was absolutely magical. I wish I could remember the names of the other flavors we saw.The shop itself is charming and well-kept. It's clean and tidy, which is always a plus. I particularly loved the vintage-looking soda fountain, which adds a cool retro vibe to the place. You can even spot it in the menu picture I uploaded!Overall, Ampersand Ice Cream Shop is a hidden gem that's definitely worth a visit. Huge thanks to Raul for introducing me to this delightful spot!

Visited on 06/28/24Hear me out. I'm from Southern California - Long Beach to be exact. Close to the ocean with the cool breeze. So to be in the Central Valley in the blistering Fresno heat, there was only one thing to do to make me happy:GET ICE CREAM! The worker kindly offered us to sample any flavor. Super cute: they use real silver spoons for your sample. Such a great touch.This place did not disappoint the palate. My daughter ordered the peach sorbet which was very refreshing and tasted like summer. I ordered the Bordeaux flavor. Inspired by the See's chocolate candy which is a blend of brown sugar and milk chocolate. Delicious. Period. The most inviting small batch ice cream shop where you can see all things ice cream behind the scenes working through the glass windows: blenders, mixers etc.My daughter will be attending Fresno State in the Fall and I will be making monthly visits to her. Best believe I will be stopping in here for a scoop every time!

THE place to go for SWEET TREAT O'CLOCK.Ampersand is easily one of the best things Fresno has to offer. No matter which location you go to, you know you will be served some bomb ice cream. OBSESSED with the rotating monthly flavors. With new flavors coming out every first Thursday of the month, it might as well me considered a holiday. They always have some OG flavors that never rotate out. Literally all of their permanent flavors are good, but their Bordeaux or the honeycomb gets a special shout-out. Whether it be an OG or a monthly special, I have never had an Ampersand ice cream I didn't like. And don't even get me started on their housemade waffle cones. I am in loveeeee with them. A waffle cone is a MUST. Note that weekends are typically super busy, especially around dinner time and there is almost always line out the door. They are super speedy though so the line goes by fairly quickly!!!
