Love this store so much but was really disappointed today :( I had an issue with a product and wanted to review my options but the manager accused me of blaming the store for my issue. I just wanted some help or to hear options but she was rude off the bat. I ended up just buying a new shirt because the product is good but it felt bad to not be heard out.

This is for Arie, not American Eagle. I generally do not enjoy writing reviews, but I had an unpleasant experience at the aerie store. My daughter purchased two pairs of leggings - one she wore a few times and found to be very linty. She assumed it was due to my laundry soap and bought another pair a week ago, only to experience the same issue. When she tried to return them, the lady at the store was very rude When she tried to return them, she was met with lady from the store the manager who said there was no reason to return them as they had been stretched out. My daughter felt body shamed, I went into the store to address the situation politely, as I couldn't afford to spend money on poor quality leggings. The manger who was super unprofessional accused my daughter of calling her a derogatory name, despite my daughter not using that language. She is not disrespectful and I apologized for the misunderstanding, but there was clearly a mistake. My daughter is not disrespectful, as she doesn't even talk back to me. So when she made a claim like that, I was skeptical. I still apologized, though, and told her that she needed to apologize as well. I went out of the store to get my daughter so she could apologize. Once back inside, the lady said she didn't need an apology and started gossiping with her coworkers and the security guard like they were seriously all in a circle we totally felt ganged up on! I asked her please do not to call my daughter a liar, and she responded saying that I was calling all of them liars. All of them heard it, but my daughter insisted that if you check the cameras, they were not even present. There was only one coworker nearby, and she did not call her a derogatory term. The woman refused to give me her name. After speaking with several individuals, it seems that many agree that the girls in there are extremely impolite. This issue needs to be addressed, as I am willing to escalate this matter with legal action if necessary. My daughter was literally shaking. I had just lost some family members not too long ago and I've been dealing with a lot of health issues so dealing with this today was extremely stressful and hard on me. I wanted to cry and my daughter did cry when she left the store she felt super sad and said mom I don't ever want to go there again I would never call someone that word and I said I know I believe you. In my heart of hearts I believe her she wouldn't lie to me! I will be contacting the mall and I already contacted security. There is a lot of high school mean girl vibes. You guys lost me as a customer and I will put the word out ! Please understand me when I say I tried to resolve the issue I didn't want my money back I didn't want a discount I just wanted the truth I will take a stand for truth ! I would hope that the culture you guys are building would be founded on respect and honesty because in my household that is a big deal the manager even said she had 6 kids and they she know they act another way around other well my daughter doe's not I teach healthy values and have to have integrity. I'm sorry this is so long but I cannot let another person get bullied the way they did ! Please do better !

First time shopping in American eagle, the workers were nice but the security guard was rude. Literally gave an attitude about asking questions on jeans. So unprofessional, and also saying I couldn't look at jeans that I have to stand in line to ask a worker about it.

American Eagle very friendly staff very helpful. I'm really really happy hundred percent. They took care of me very well very respectful. The owner was really nice the staff helped me out a lot. Very pricey. False advertising. They place a big buy 1 50% off sign outside the store but don't apply the discounts when you pay. They could not even tell me exactly where the discounted items are. False, baity advertising!!! Save your hard earned $$$!

Raquel the store manager helped me in store, she priced every option of underwear that I had picked out and was so friendly and nice ! She took her time to make sure that I knew the price of every item before I purchased it ! The customer service was top notch!

I wanted to give an updated review. It's been 6 months since I physically shopped in store. I heard through the grapevine that the previous store manager was let go. I walked in store immediately was greeted. I was on the phone shopping for my teenager and letting her choose her items. Even though I was on the phone the associated still made sure I knew they were available to help. Once I was done I went up to cash out. The cashier was lovely, she asked about my day and started conversation. I asked about the management and she did hesitate, I'm sure she was anticipating a complaint. I let her know then that I had a wonderful experience. She introduced me to Jen the assistant manager who happened to be the same associate who helped me get in touch with the district manager. Just a few days ago I went in again to do an exchange and I then met Lorraine, I remembered her from Sephora, she is now the store manager and she has done a bang up job turning that store around. I again had a great experience the associates all are wonderful, they look happy to be there. Great job Lorraine and management team for turning the store around!

The clothes are great but the customer service is awful. I purchased some items online and half my order was sent separately. I didn't care for one of the items and went into the store to return it. When I arrived I told the associate I was there to pick up the other half of my order and do a return. The manager/shift leader at the moment jumped on me right away and was just rude. As customers we don't know how their systems work, so for her to be so aggressive was uncalled for. She REFUSED to give me her name. Stated she is "NOT REQUIRED" to provide their names AT ALL. The sad part is that her coworkers were just looking at her like it was normal. Very disappointing.
