Had chicken fried steak, a few Micheladas and my buddy had corn beef hash, other one had the chicken parm sandwich. All was good but the plates are definitely better than sandwiches . Service was fast and attentive, setting was fun and my kids loved it. Even played a game of pool after eating . Price is cheaper than most big chain restaurants.

The Almond Tree is a decent place to eat with standard American food. The service is generally good and the food is best when Jason is cooking.Beware: When ordering your food you will be offered substitutions. Make sure to ask if the substitutions come with an extra charge. I ordered a Burger and was offered several items as a substitution for the French fries including sweet potato fries. There was no mention of an extra charge. When I received my tab, I saw that I was charged $3.12 for substituting my fries for sweet potato fries. I felt that I should have been told about the up charge and that $3.12 is excessive for the substitution. In total, there was approximately $7.00 of charges for things I was not told I'd be charged for nor are they on the meñu.

Stopped by for lunch while in town visiting the Castle Air Museum. I had the seafood combo which was pretty good. The calamari were good and the Cod was okay. The shrimp were the highlight but there were only two included. I opted for the mashed potatoes and gravy but they were lacking flavor. I'm hindsight I should've gotten the rice pilaf. Still I nearly cleared my plate. The highlight of my meal was the soup. The wedding soup had great flavor and texture. Luckily my son didn't finish his so I got a double serving. My son chose the lasagna and loved it! He declared the Almond Tree was his third favorite restaurant as a result. The service was excellent. We'll be back next time we're in town.

First time here and place is dope,gives me nostalgia with its old fashion style / decor,even has popcorn ceilings ! How old school is that ,I don't care what anyone says PLEASE DONT MODERNIZE THIS PLACE just because most can't appreciate some O.G style restaurants ..

Food was good, service was not. They were not busy other than one other table next to us who were drinking, We ate in the bar area so the bartender was our "waitress". Our food came and I asked for mayo and she never returned despite me getting her attention and her acknowledging that she saw me, she spent the next 20 minutes taking cocktail orders, socializing and serving the table next to us. I finally went to the kitchen and asked for my own mayo. I'll return but definitely won't eat in the bar area again.

Every time I go in to this establishment, I am treated with respect and I receive excellent Customer Service. The ladies who bring the to go orders and accept payment are always friendly, and they ensure the customer is well taken care of. The food is consistently great. Their pies are truly "homemade", and they usually have a variety of flavors/types to choose from. Everything is always fresh, and the prices quite competitive. Their Senior menu is one of the few I order from, because it is different from the norm, in that the portions are healthy sized, and the variety if selections is incomparable.. For a good down home, comforting meal to enjoy in an established restaurant with an ambiance unlike other family style restaurants, definitely check out this successful business.

Hadn't been there for years. The food is really great. Good value for the price. Waitstaff very friendly and always willing to make sure that your order is what you expected. If you want something added or substituted they are always accommodating.
