Academy Hardware

Jennifer Villalobos has terrible customer service. That's really all I have to say. I've been a resident of Sanger my entire life & my family & myself have always gone to Ace for hardware supplies. I've personally worked customer service in hardware myself & I would never treat our customers the way she does but her manager allows this behavior. Unfortunately we have been taking our business to other hardware stores as they offer better customer service.

Been here several times and always greeted with a smile. Reminds me of the hardware stores I grew up in as a kid.

I've been getting all my 'Pandemic Projects' supplies from here. They've always taken the time to help me even if they are busy. And they can get busy, but its because of the great customer service and knowledge. They took time to match my paint to the EXACT color I needed. Big thanks to Academy Hardware. I'll always return to this place for any hardware needs.

I'm not a hardware store type of guy. I imagine walking into a hardware store for me is the same as a nun walking into a sex shop. I know I have no business being there and I immediately become uncomfortable, occasionally breaking out into a nervous sweat. I'm normally afraid to ask for help in a hardware store, as the people who work there are always visibly aggravated by my stupidity. So I generally just look around about a half hour, get pissed because I can't find what I'm looking for, buy a few things that look like they might suffice (they never do), and then storm out, my tires spinning as I peel out of the parking lot in frustration. I've had nothing but positive experiences here at Academy Hardware. They always ask me if I need help, including Josh, who is the owner and an all around super guy. Even if I'm not yet wandering aimlessly or curled up in the fetal position, they make sure there's nothing they can help me find more quickly. And whatever I need, they always have it, even though they are a rather small store. The prices are comparable to any other hardware store, and often times I find I leave with more money than I would have had I gone to one of the giant hardware stores we all know. If you want to search through a store the size of a small city for hours, getting no help, and spending a ton of money, then there are plenty of places for you. But if you want a store where they're very helpful, you don't half to walk the length of a half marathon, and you can get in and out before the earth completes an orbit around the sun, then check out Academy Hardware.

This is my favorite hardware store. The staff is very friendly and I can get in and out very fast. I frequent this store on a regular basis and they have never disappointed me. No big box store can touch the customer service of Academy Hardware.

These guys have it ALL! I kid you not. One of the most extensive plumbing and electrical sections you will find, and that means a lot when you're in the middle of a weekend project that you probably wish you weren't even doing in the first place.Great staff here too. Always greet me with a "Hello!" and a big smile. They're as courteous as they are knowledgeable, and they KNOW their stuff!

I have nothing but good things to say. I have been coming here for years and I have to say they are the best. Every time I have been in the store it is always very clean and well stocked. The staff is always very helpful and very knowledgeable the customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend that if you have hardware needs that you support our local hardware store and receive the customer service you deserve

First I have a medical condition that restricts me from wearing a mask. So as I enter the store I'm asked if I have 1 to put on and as I proceeded to tell the gentleman I cant wear 1 I was rudely interrupted by a lady and was told she was going to refuse service to me. I completely understand with the way things are right now but she had no respect or anything for the fact I couldn't wear a mask. And as I was trying to ask her if there was a way she could help me she simple became rude and so I just walked away.There are alot of companies that are striving to help people in anyways possible but this store is not about that. I for 1 will never return there or spend my money at any true value again. I recommend going to a place like home depot or lowes that find ways to help people especially with medical conditions

I would so love to give them 0 stars but I don't have the option. Anywho, I called ahead of time to see if I can rent a rug doctor. They had some in stock and told me all I need an ID and that was it. So I took a drive to the store and they looked at my ID and said, "Oh you don't live in town." I told them that DMV haven't sent me a new ID. The cashier had a worker go ask if I can rent it. They took my ID came back few minutes later and told me they will let me do it if I give them my vehicle information and license plate information. I told them I wish I knew about this before wasting time and driving here. I told them I was going to be writing a review and so low and behold here I am. Happy New Year :/.
