I found A-Plus Home Care on a list of care agencies provided by a local hospital almost one year ago. It was the height of the pandemic, everything was very much closed, people were very fearful & uncertain about Covid-19 (even more than now), & here I was needing in-home care as soon as possible due to a loved one having a major surgery amidst the pandemic. I was informed by the hospital about the extent of care that would be needed no more than 2 days before my loved one's release. No pressure there. The first care agency I called said that it would be very difficult to find anyone on such short notice during a pandemic. Totally understandable. I next reached out to A-Plus and they weren't certain that they could find someone but they certainly were willing to work on our short timeline. They asked lots of important questions in order to determine whether they could provide the needed services & they found 2 caregivers within the short time line given. Our first evening caregiver kept getting stranger and stranger (the person would show up 1 hour early & practice chanting/singing hymns in our dining room). After the manager was unable to help the caregiver understand that chanting/singing in a client's house isn't usually welcomed, the manager worked with us to find a new evening caregiver. We have had the same evening caregiver for about 6 months and are very happy with that person. It is likewise with the daytime caregiver. But who we really appreciate are the weekend caregivers we added in December. The agency was clear that the weekend caregivers would rotate due to it being weekend. The 2 main ones have been amazing. Both go above and beyond with cleaning and with meeting the needs of my loved one. A-Plus' rates are very comparable to the going average rate in this area (I did research) & I can say that if you ever come to the time that a loved one needs extra help, I would 100% recommend this agency. The manager is someone I can text weekend or weekday and they always share my messages with the caregivers. The open communication is so important in the care of a loved one.

I have been working here for a few months now and it's by far the best place. The staff are like family. They do everything in their power to make sure that your client and you are a great fit for each other. If you have any concerns they're only a phone call away. The staff gets back to you directly. There's no days upon days or hours upon hours waiting for a call back.

So thankful for the great companion care from Elena toward my mother. Mom looks forward to seeing Elena each time, as I do. I know that I can leave to do errands or just take a rest and Mom is completely relaxed with her.Thank you, Lyle and all of A-Plus staff for working with us.
