Our 1st attempt at painting. Vicky was less then attentive questions. Very little direction or guidance. She was more concerned with stocking and cleaning then participating with the group. We got most of our influence and technique from the more experienced individuals (which were strangers) so it was very awkward. Our group made several comments and attempts to engage the "teacher" but she was just not to welcoming. Other then to tell us "that's way to much paint, you only need a little". Iy is not something that I would recommend unless your willing to guess as you go.

This store is beautiful! I'm a big crafter. I love wood, painting, crafting. They feature chalk paint projects and a few cute Knick knacks. Unfortunately, the owner is a grump!!The store normally offers classes but, due to Covid, no classes were going on. They did offer some craft kits which I thought were really cute. I asked the owner how to do a paint finish for one of the the projects/kits she was displaying/ selling. She was SOooo irritated! She could hardly answer me. I had 3 or four items in my hand to purchase, probably $80 worth of stuff, but she was so rude that I put everything back and left the store. As I was leaving, the front four was locked. There were two ladies waiting outside. She told them, abruptly, that the store was closed (it was 3:00 on a Tuesday!!). I couldn't believe it! She's an independent business owner and she was "chasing people away." I will not be returning.

- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEMy wife drove across town to buy some paint. She forgot her cards and only had a $100 bill on her. The employee wouldn't accept it because she had already accepted a $100 bill from another customer and couldn't be bothered to find change. Not only did they lose a sale, they've lost a customer.

- HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- OWNER HAS BAD ATTITUDE - FAILURE TO DISCLOSE ALL SALES FINAL POLICY- WOULDN'T HONOR GIFT CARDI recommended this place to my boyfriend when he moved to Fresno. He wanted to paint some of his old hand-me-down furniture instead of buying new stuff for his new apartment. He has never been a DIY kind of person, and to be honest I'm not crafty myself (think Pinterest fail) so I sent him to 3 Oaks Studio with the hope that they would walk him through what he needed and show him what to do. I also hoped he would see, as someone new to Fresno, how awesome our local business are. Sadly, that did not happen. He ended up spending over $100.00 dollars at this store. However, it turns out they had sold him some special brushes for about $50.00 a brush, that we already had! When he went to return the duplicate brushes over his lunch break from work, they wouldn't refund him. He had to argue with the clerk, and then the manager, and ultimately the store owner throughout his whole lunch hour! Apparently, they have an all sales are final policy but they prefer not to tell anyone about it. Finally, the owner of the store agreed to give him the money for the returned brushes on a gift card. She told him that he should be grateful she was doing it at all, and that she was only doing it because she felt charitable since it was the Christmas season. Such attitude! Then, about a month later he returned to the store to use the gift card on some paint and the clerk informed him that the card had a zero balance. Of course, he had never used the card so it should have had the full amount on it. When he explained the history of the gift card to the clerk she couldn't help him so she called the owner. The owner was once again completely unhelpful and RUDE! She told my boyfriend that they should never have given him the gift card to begin with and that they would not honor it, even if he came back with the receipt showing what was on it! I feel like they stole from him! They took his return and he doesn't have the money from the return! And what's worse - it came straight from the owner herself. I am so disappointed in this business. They have demonstrated a complete lack of regard for customer service and essentially stole from my boyfriend. I was so sad that he got such a rude welcome to Fresno from a local business. I will never be back!

Not very helpful or friendly. I wanted to buy a rug and it didn't have a price. When I asked 3 ladies at the counter not one offered or looked up a price. I had to leave it behind with all the other stuff I was going to buy.

I have participated in several classes with 3 Oaks and have been ecstatic about the end result every time. I get complimented on my craft pieces all the time and get asked "where did I buy that" and With pride I tell them I made it!! By taking the classes I have gained the confidence to work on my own pieces at home. Every-time I have been in the store I have been treated great and everyone has been more than helpful and patient working with me! I especially love Debbie and Vicki!!

My mom had mentioned she wanted to repaint some old furniture, so I thought a chalk painting class from 3 Oaks Studio would be a great gift. I stopped by the Bullard/West location to reserve two spots for my mom and a friend and they told me I needed to sign up online. When I went online, the website informed me that I had to call or go into the store. I was already annoyed at the inconvenience but I decided to try calling the store. It only got worse from there. I had to call the store multiple times and leave multiple messages at the Clovis location and the Bullard/West location. No one ever called me back, but I eventually got a hold of someone. They helped me book two spots but it was a HASSLE. At first they wouldn't let me reserve spots under my mom's name and once we got past that hurdle they didn't have any sort of gift certificate or even a receipt that I could give to my mom as the gift and the way to claim her spots. I was nervous about the fact there was no receipt so I e-mailed the person I had made the reservations with and asked her to confirm that I had reserved 2 spots, on X date, at X time, at the Bullard/West store under my mom's name. She e-mailed me back that it was confirmed. Then, when the day and time for the class came, my mom went to the Bullard/West location with her friend and found IT WAS CLOSED. They looked at the website, found that the class was actually at the Clovis location and drove across town hoping to get to do at least some of the class. When they got there they were told they didn't have reservations for the class and they weren't allowed to participate. I called to find out what was going on when my mom told me her gift hadn't worked. It turned out they had booked her at a Bullard/West class, but had given us the date of a Clovis class. At first, the person I was dealing with was completely unhelpful and said she couldn't do anything about the fact that we had missed the class. When I showed them the e-mail where they had confirmed the time, date, and store location incorrectly, they then agreed that my mom and her friend could attend the next class at the Bullard/West location. I had asked that my mom and her friend be allowed to pick what class they attend to make sure it was convenient for them and worked with their schedules (especially since some are during work hours when she wouldn't be able to go) but even after I showed them their error, they still insisted my mom and her friend had to attend the very next class or lose their spots. SPOTS I PAID FOR. When I said I wanted a refund instead, they wouldn't do that either. THIS PLACE TURNED A FUN GIFT INTO A NIGHTMARE. They were RUDE AND UNACCOMODATING even when faced with the fact that THEY had errored, not me or my mom. I was very disappointed with the hassle of booking the class originally and the customer service I received after. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I wish I could leave ZERO stars. Today was my first time in this store and I can honestly say I won't be back. The owner was incredibly rude and snappy. She was not only short with me but with all her customers. She had horrible customer service and a bad attitude. I couldn't believe she was the owner!

They care more about wearing a mask and not having customers in their store! They need to be closed permanently if they don't like customers! I was browsing around to see what classes they offered and was told rudely not to be in that area! It is a work area! There was no sign indicating no customers allowed.I said I was just looking and didn't know.As I was walking away another employee came from behind me and stared me down like a crimminal! I feel so violated.(
