While visiting in town, I came across this ice cream shop! Not only is it super charming, but the staff that helped us was phenomenal. We were able to try a few flavors before settling on one (or two;). The ice cream was delish! I got a cookie dough and also a scoop of Reindeer Tracks (we were there during the holidays). It was $22 for two cups and one cone but knowing I'm supporting a small business and keeping money local makes the higher price worth it! Would definitely return and recommend to friends!

Beware! We are new to the area and vegan. I googled best vegan ice cream and Fresh Local was #1. We drove out of our way to try it and they have VANILLA only plus one sorbet. Don't waste your time!

Chocolate chip cookie dough - my fav & New York Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream . Every time we come to this spot the line is bananas but they're quick! Ice cream and milkshakes are so bomb & they're open late. They let you sample a flavor if you ask and they have lots of variations of their ice cream. Staff are always so nice & kind! Outside seating or you can park and eat in your car, but this is not an indoor spot just FYI!

Fresh Local Ice Cream serves arguably the best ice cream in the Triangle. The base ice cream itself possesses an unparalleled, creamy texture. The flavor of the ice cream tastes buttery and has a touch of malt which adds a subtle, slightly savory note to each bite. My wife, brother in law, and I tried the monthly special flavors of blueberry pancake and salted caramel oreo. The ice cream makers here do not skimp on the mix ins, and each variety was chock full of pieces (pancake batter and Oreos, respectively). As the name implies, the freshness of the ice cream was evident in both taste and texture. While both flavors were fantastic, the unique blueberry pancake won us over the most with plenty of fresh blueberry puree, a buttery base ice cream taste, and addictive pancake pieces in the ice cream. The salted caramel Oreo held its own with a subtle caramel backbone that complimented the chocolatey Oreos quite well. A waffle cone with two large scoops, while a little steep at about $7, was big enough for three of us to share. Plenty of outdoor tables are available for seating. I admittedly don't even like ice cream too much and adored the scoops here. As such, Fresh Local Ice Cream should be the first and last stop for any frozen treat fan in the area.

Cutest little ice cream shop we stopped at on the way home from dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. The selection of homemade flavors wasimpeccable and the ones we chose- delicious! I chose the classic cookie dough and my husband had the chocolate crunch- both excellent! Plentyof outdoor seating for you, family, and friends to enjoy your ice cream!

The ice cream here was so good. This sundae was a a good portion for eight dollars. Make sure that you ask for no nuts on your sundae or they will cover it in almonds!! Overall so good and the service was amazing! Always nice people working here!!
