Frelard Pizza

Pizza is not my favorite. It is not NY Style pizza. The cheese is melty, but also has a strange texture almost like it's not fresh. The sausage is not spiced or salted enough. The margherita looks, feels and tastes like a cheese pizza, not a margherita. The basil comes chopped in a separate container. The crust/dough are thin and browned very evenly, but are very dense.Overall, the large is definitely pricey relative to other nearby offerings, but actually surprisingly okay value. This is likely due to the dense crust being pretty filling, but ultimately not very satisfying if you're not a crust lover.We did takeout so no commentary on the service or ambiance.

Staff was not friendly the last time I was in, but I can't blame them in the current conditions. Food is always on point, and I've immensely appreciated their specials because as a picky eater, I normally can't find anything premade that I want. At Frelard I never feel like that--they always have something deluxe that sounds good, even to me. I love how full my salad bowl was, but it was also hard to serve, so maybe a plate and tongs alongside? The peppers on here were hot! I'm not one to shy from spice so you should definitely take that as a warning. We love it here!

What happened to this place? I use to go here years ago and everything was amazing. Then I started noticing every week there was new staff. The food was never as good. Then they got rid of the waiters. The atmosphere just wasn't the sam. Things just progressively went downhill from there. Now I see as many rats as customer. The one positive thing though, is there's never a wait to get int this rat trap now.

Honestly the food is great. But they have a 4% service charge added to all bills. Not for the staff, just for the restaurant. So they're false advertising prices. All their food is 4% more and they're just lying to you. I was a regular here in the past and I won't be coming back while that is in place.

The pizza is tasty but god, I hate myself every time I pay $16 for a Caesar salad here. I got one years ago and figured I'd give it another shot tonight (their photos online show anchovies!) but no luck. It's honestly worse than what you get in a premade bag at the grocery store but 4x the price. Learn from my mistakes and stick with the pizza.

I've been coming to Frelard and Ballard Pizza for years. Great atmosphere and vibe. This last visit was very disappointing at Frelard.I came with my girls and a friend who has kids after our baseball game. I ordered a small pizza with pepperoni & olives, plus 1 beer = $45! Went for one more pint that was $8 plus a $1tip = $9! My friend got a $19 salad! And his sausage pizza was speckled with tiny pieces of sausage, we both had a good laugh at this.At these prices the pizza should be amazing.....but it was at best mediocre. Unfortunately I just can't afford this place anymore. Inflation? Seattle? I'm not sure, but what a bummer.

Loved this spot! Great location; not super busy. They have a huge outdoor area with a fireplace to keep warm when it's chilly out. Seemed very family friendly, and allowed dogs. I'd go back for the casual atmosphere. Fun spot to grab a beer or two & share a pizza with a friend!---A little half & half action‍:1 - Parma - fresh mozzarella, pecorino, prosciutto, dressed arugula, tomato sauce.2 - Big Moses - this was their 'surprise pizza' on the menu, not even sure what was on it but was very tasty.

Ok so this place use to be so good and gay. Now it's mediocre and the pizza comes out burnt. Also idk what happened to the rad manager but the current one is not it. :(. I'm praying for this store.
