Franklin Wine and Spirits

We had eaten at Puckett's for dinner a few years ago and found it to be remarkable. So this time in Franklin we decided to have breakfast there and found it to be lack luster. The wait staff was good but the food itself was average at best. My wife could not eat the ham because it was way too salty. My adult daughter had ti send the French toast back due to a strange and some what bitter/tart aftertaste. To say the least we were disappointed with our choice this morning.

Need a nip of some high end spirits? Just want a 6er? Doesn't matter they have it. Want them to hold a nice bourbon during derby week? Doesn't matter. They got you either way. Wide selection, nice staff. Anything you need. They will fix you up!

Great, knowledgeable staff with suggestions from beer to wine and spirits. Usually have free wine tastings and good specials. I do think some of their prices are a bit out of range, a stretch from the retail cost at some of the wineries they carry, but being far from those wineries, I would expect a "convenience tax." Great place to stop by to pick up a last minute bottle for dinner or get some recommendations for your home bar. Definitely worth a stop, or two ;).

These guys are great! I live right around the corner from them off of McEwen and we love having them in the neighborhood. They are located right next to a Publix and are super convenient.They have a good selection of everything. My wife and I generally stick to wines, craft beer, and bourbon. They have a great selection in each category. In Tennessee, I guess you have to sell beer above a certain ABV in liquor stores and so the 'better beers' can often get overlooked. However, Franklin Wine and Spirits has a bunch to choose from and many are kept cold in the back.The best part of this spot is the tastings on the weekends (they may do a few during the week as well). They send out an e-mail each week with the details. We stopped by on Friday and they were tasting bourbons and wine. I tried 6 different bourbons and most of them were single barrels. They are not shy to open a high-end product for their customers to try. It's really awesome and I took home one of the bourbons I liked from that experience. This is not the first time they've made a sale to us in that manner.These folks are great to work with. If you want to try something, they can order it for you and go out of their way to make their customers happy. I'd recommend giving them a visit if you live on the east side of Cool Springs.

This place is great. Conveniently located in the McKays Mill area two minutes from my house, Franklin Wine and Spirits has a great selection of wine, liquor, and high gravity beers for a smaller store. The owner and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they admit when they aren't a connoisseur of a particular product, like a wine snob who doesn't drink bourbon. I like that they have different areas where they classify wines by the varietal AND by the country!The best part of this place is that they do wine tastings (and sometimes liquor tastings) from 4-8 pm Wed-Sat. It's a great way get to taste some different wines and expand your knowledge. We have definitely bought a few bottles because we liked them during the tasting. They include some quality wine in their tastings, not just the cheap stuff. However, they do have some quality wine at good prices as well.

I stopped in tonight to grab some beverages for the Titans game. Great experience and friendly service. The girls helped me pick out the perfect bottle of bourbon. Will definitely be returning soon.

Excellent selection, attentive staff and good prices. Some budget wines, but some excellent high end wines that are hard to find as well.

Not just another wine and liquor store! The staff at Franklin Wine and Sprits is knowledgeable about wine vintages and varieties, and they will take as much time as you need to give you an honest appraisal of their stock. They won't try to influence you to purchase something they're trying to move; they will give you honest guidance to help you buy wines that you will enjoy. Despite the recent availability of wine at grocery stores (which, I'm not going to lie, is nice... I missed that having had that for years in VA), the service, variety and value at Franklin Wine and Spirits makes the 20-yard stroll from the Publix worth it. (Not knocking Publix, 'cause they are awesome!)FWS frequently has tastings at which you may sample wines and/or liquors and liqueurs. The tastings are very popular and have a fun atmosphere. The store has a tasting room in the back for more involved experience.
