Came for Saturday brunch with a couple close friends and their kids. I brought my little one along too. Restaurant is big and clean. Very lovely people, solid menu selection of classics, and we were seated quickly. The food was delicious! I ordered corned beef hash with hash browns, eggs, and a waffle. The hash and the waffle were all crisped to perfection. Portions were surprisingly small compared to other breakfast places around here. The service is very friendly, but a little slow considering the place was relatively empty. We were only checked on once during our meal for coffee/beverage refills.Overall, though, a great place for delicious breakfast foods. Will definitely return!

Found this place on Yelp when looking for somewhere new to try while in Poway. It's set up on the end of an older strip mall. Though the place is older, it was well maintained and clean. Encountered very friendly staff throughout my visit. They seem to work well as a team, with all the staff working the front helping out where needed. I chose the ham and cheese frittata with hashbrowns and pancakes, since I read good things about the pancakes. The frittata was very good and the hashbrowns cooked well. Crispy but not dried out and burnt (I hate when that happens!). Unfortunately, the pancakes were a complete fail for me. They were very chewy, almost a rubbery texture and had to really put some strength in to cutting them. It squished down and took a lot of back and forth with the knife to cut a piece off. That should have told me right there that they weren't going to be enjoyable and they weren't. Besides the texture the flavor just didn't hit the spot. Tried a couple pieces and gave up. Enjoyed the rest of the meal though so didn't go away hungry but was disappointed I couldn't enjoy a nice fluffy pancake with my meal. If I'm in the area again and looking for breakfast I'll probably give it another try. There were more positives than negatives.

I've eaten here 3x before and wanted to hold off saying anything until I knew what my solid opinion was. I used to think it was expensive until I've come to realize so is everyone else. In fact, this place is downright affordable next to pretty much every other breakfast place where you just can't buy a breakfast for under $17 anymore. At least here everything was quite affordable. It's a cozy atmosphere with a strange layout. I used to come here before when it was a BBQ place. I want whatever the architect of this strip mall is smoking.The plates are adequate, and the silverware seems military surplus, but you're not here for those. You're here for the food. They deserve the 5/5 for the quality of food and attention to detail. The eggs were done evenly, the hashbrowns on both sides, the corned beef hash was cooked all the way through, and the french toast was like a dessert. If you're on the fence about coming here, get off the fence, you'll get hurt. Go have breakfast instead.

Oh wow what a surprise, we stopped here before a trip tonLas Vegas... it's wasn't planned my wife was just in a mood for French toast or pancakes!!We aren't from Poway so on our way out say this breakfast spot. Now me anytime I go to breakfast spots my expectations start low... I've experienced so many places don't do it with a lax luster energy!!!BUT NOT TODAY SATAN!!!This place with its simplistic presentation did an amazing job with everything we order!!!My wife Got French Toast with strawberries and whip cream, she said they where surprisingly good(that mean they were perfect coming from a French toast snob)Me I order a sausage patty sandwich with eggs and chews on white bread!! Oh My Lord... sooo bomb and I think more so because I just want expecting them to get it right but they did.. ever bite was butter and cheesey!!! They cheese stayed belted and sift the entire time I ate it!! Bravo!!! Oh do forget to get a Side of Hollandaise sauce with your sandwiches you want be disappointed.5 Stars We Love Franco's Family Restaurant!!!!!

Solid 4 stars for the food.We were hankering for some crispy corned beef hash after binge watching a weekend's worth of Hallmark movies...one of the characters dug into a plate of some. I had to have some too! So I scoured Yelp and settled on Franco's.It is located in a small strip mall in Poway. This restaurant used to be a pizza joint and then a BBQ spot. We were patrons of the the former Jimmy's Brick Pit BBQ and got to know the old owner and his son. Miss that place and the family that ran it tremendously but don't mind that Franco's Flapjacks took over their spot. Service was fine. Our gal was hard at work and although she didn't really check on his, it was no biggie. It was pretty busy. The girl with the plug earrings on the other hand, was incredibly unpleasant but our food more than made up for it. Corned Beef Hash: crisp on the outside, tender on the inside...perfection. The flapjacks were nice and fluffy. The biscuit was massive! Not dry and crumbly at all and pretty dang tasty. Would I return? Sure! For the food.

Whatever you do, get the hash browns! They're perfectly tender and crispy on top. The pancakes are also fluffy and buttery and the portion sizes are perfect. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. We went on Easter Sunday so it was very busy and service was slow but I think that's just because of the holiday.
