I love Franco's! Personally, this is my favorite breakfast joint in the neighborhood. Everytime we go, we are never disappointed. We always come out full and happy and know we'll be back again! This place is located on Bonita Road, near Dollar Tree and right next to JJ Island Grindz. Parking is plentiful there. If you can't find spots right in front, scoot over a little to the bigger lot and you're bound to find something. The restaurant itself is cozy and it's one of those breakfast joints that feel like home. There's a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. There's also enough space for you to sit and wait if you're on the waitlist.Service is great. Never had an issue for all the times we went with staff. All staff are friendly and I feel like they do a good job trying to get to know the loac crowd. Staff is patient and constantly checking on you. They're super helpful and always greet you with a smile.Food mever disappoints! Portions are huge and flavorful. Bacon strips are those thicker ones and they're always cooked just right. Hash browns hit the spot and are just the right amount of crispy. But I seriously enjoyed the chilaquiles. Portion was HUGE. The spice was just right and lots of flavor. Overall, the price for the food is not too bad either. I personally think you definitely are getting what you pay for.I definitely suggest going to Franco's if you're looking for a breakfast joint. Local or not, this place will definitely hit the spot for some good, homey breakfast foods. I'm all for supporting small businesses and this one deserves the love.

I've heard really good things about Franco's so we gave it a try & it wasn't the best brunch spot I've tried but also wasn't the worst. It falls right in the middle. Gotta say, with all the attention it's been getting, you'd think Franco's would upgrade their spot a little... cause it looks a little janky. The ceiling was all sorts of messed up, their tables look all rickety and the smell just smelled like old diner. I guess that's the vibe they're going for. The food was okay at best. Nothing too special about it except the specialty French toast [$16.99] we ordered. It came w/2 thick fluffy toasts smothered in caramel & fruit. Yummm! Also made the mistake of ordering a hot chocolate which was also the best I've had in a while [$4.95]. The rest was okay- corned beef hash [$15.95] w/Over medium eggs, they kept giving me Scrambled. My sis had eggs & bacon [$14.95] dish. Both came with an option of bread, we both got their huge biscuits which were okay as well. Definitely butter it up and add honey for more flavor. Overall, it was an a-ok experience. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. It's just a little too rundown for me. Nice coat of paint, upgraded tables, fix the ceiling, shoo the flies away and you'll have yourselves a 5 Yelp Star establishmentm

While I enjoy their food, there "to go" services is appalling. Ordered at 10:36am on a Monday and they said 15-20 minutes. Got there at 11:05am and they neglected to put my order in. I received no apology for the miscommunication, paid full price, and still had to wait 20 minutes.Do not go here and order food to go, just dine in. Their service shines there.

We arrived at 6:45am to be the first to be served at 7am opening on a Tuesday morning. We walked up after seeing a woman go inside (we thought that she was a customer) and the lights were still dimmed in the dining room, so we were puzzled for a second. Then, the host server welcomed us in to open seating. We chose a booth along the left wall facing the kitchen and were the only customers at 7am. The Server provided us with menus and we ordered our drinks, 2 regular coffees. We did not receive water with our drinks. We decided to order: 1. Country Fried Steak Breakfast with hashed browns, soft scramble eggs, and a "cranberry" muffin and 2. Full Stack Pancakes with butter. There were a couple of issues with ordering. When I asked what flavors the muffins came in for the chicken fried steak breakfast I was told blueberry or cranberry. I chose cranberry. When the muffin came out, I started to eat it, but it was actually cranberry orange. I detest cranberry orange muffins and this small detail left out by the server was a bit disappointing for me. Just think if I were allergic to oranges...Strike one. Next, my Husband asked if the kitchen could griddle the pancakes with crisp edges (which almost all places that we ask for this are willing to try). My husband asked if they could fry them up in butter so that the edges are crisp. The server was puzzled. We showed a picture of crispy edges pancakes and he still shook is head no and said, "we don't make them like that." We asked if they could make them in butter, so the server said that he would tell the kitchen. We didn't feel confident and it was a bit irritating that he seemed irritated with us for asking, Strike Two. Lastly, the hashed browns were very undercooked and raw crunchy grated potatoes were plated and served to us. When I mentioned this to the server, he said, "I will tell the kitchen right now". He offered no mediation to take the uneaten hash browns off of the bill, replace them, nor another side...Strike Three.Coffee was HORRIBLE and tasted like it was 2 days old, recycled, Strike Four. As the first customers of the morning, we expected fresh coffee. Frankly, at the price they charge for the mugs of coffee, we deserved that. Overall, for 1 breakfast, a full stack of pancakes, and 2 coffees for $50...we were very disappointed. The quality of the food is not what we have experienced in the past. About 1-2 years ago we enjoyed eating and being served here. We received this message, 'Do not come back nor ask for the food any other way than what they 'normally serve or cook', and we do not value our customers.'The place was also dingy and dirty on the inside. It was not where I wanted to eat, and I should have stuck with my first intuition. The outside was filthy on the patio, the lights were not on, and it looked depressing; so much for not judging a book by its cover. No thank you Bonita Franco's Flapjacks. We will also not go back to their Poway location either after this. We will stick to other reliable places for good breakfasts at this price point.

Went here on a weekday, 11ish... we have gone here multiple times and they are always busy... never really had to wait too long for a table. The guys working are all friendly, attentive, and service is quick. We didn't wait too long for our food at all...This time around, I ordered a country fried steak... gotta say, it was yummy... flavorful and crispy coating with tender steak inside... husband got French toast, he enjoyed... in a previous visit, I ordered a breakfast burrito which was also a good choice... while the food was good, the water was horrible. Lemon could not save it. it was pretty bad. A decent local breakfast spot. But it does seem like the dining area is a little worse for the wear, if that's how the saying goes.. the ceiling tiles are water stained and a little sunken in... some chipped paint around the edges...

I've been going to Franco's for a few years. I don't remember when they opened, but I'm pretty sure I was there pretty soon after the waiters and waitresses are pretty good at their job. We happen to get the same waiter very frequently and he knows his stuff for and backwards. they are very attentive and bring out the food very quickly, be aware though because there is often long lines for this place. They only allow one hour of eating after you receive your food. For someone who's waiting in line this is great, but for someone who is eating and having a good chat, it kind of sucks. I have been there longer than an hour after eating, but there were still empty tables so I didn't have an issue. The food is great. They have good size portions. I personally usually get eggs and some sort of meat like corn beef hash, which is from a can but still hits the spot.

We love Franco's! It's family owned and run, and is a cozy diner style restaurant. everything we have ordered is great. We sat at the bar this time for quicker service, as on a busy Saturday there was a 20 minute wait. It was fun to see all the non-stop action!

Service here is incredible. Our server and everyone else who walked by were phenomenal. Poor service and people who don't care seem to be the norm anymore so good service is a huge bonus.I loved the enthusiasm of the specials and recs. I'm someone who has a hard time deciding what i want and love to ask my server what they recommend. I would say food is 4 stars but service is 5 so i rounded up. The biscuit and muffin came out first hot and served with butter. Fresh and delish. I wish the blueberry muffin had a few more blueberries but it was fresh and delish. The steak was overcooked but seasoned nicely and overall tasted good. Eggs were great. My omelette was ok- i forget what it was called since it was a special. I needed to add salt which i rarely do. It was very juicy. The home fries were pretty good but again needed some salt. Overall huge portions, tasty food and great service. Highly recommend and would come here again.

First time at Franco's and I was pleasantly surprised. Food is well presented and tastes like it was cooked by grandma. Services was great even though it was extremely busy. Will be back.

Very good service, however I went there the other morning, ordered the chicken fried steak home fries biscuit and scrambled eggs.As I was driving home, started not feeling to good, then within 15 min it all ran through me barely getting home in time.If I had went to Vons up the street as planned, there could have been a major accident. Will never return!
