About a 1-1.15: WOW, not sure what happened, but it seems as if the original owners/management is not there anymore, or they are just not visible? Either way, the quality of the food and the service has gone downhill, extremely hard.We came here for lunch, and we ordered:+the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce - while these did come out crispy, the sauce was not the same; it was a sickly sweet sauce that seemed to be a common flavor that's used in typical Americanized Chinese fare; this was not enjoyable at all+the Beef and Onion dumplings - you can have these boiled or pan-fried, which we did the latter; note that pan-frying your dumplings will be an additional charge; the dough itself seemed to have been undercooked, as it was gummy and more thicker than the last time; definitely still juicy, but the filling could have been more seasoned/flavorful+the Pork with Chives & Shrimp dumplings - you can have these boiled or pan-fried, which we did the latter; note that pan-frying your dumplings will be an additional charge; these seemed to be the more preferred between the 2 sets of dumplings in terms of flavor, but it still had a gummy texture for the doughThe soy sauce at the table seemed to be watered down or diluted, and the chili oil wasn't spicy at all and didn't add any kick; also, it had a slight 5-spice type of taste to it, which I was not a fan of.I was actually really excited for the eggplant dish, as I remember enjoying this immensely when we came last; however, it was so disappointing. Also, there was no mention of using cilantro in this dish, so not sure if this was a mistake or not, but you could taste remnants of it.Rice seemed to be an additional charge, and while they give you a generous bowl of it, the rice itself was undercooked and crunchy.Service was non-existent and so difficult in trying to get anyone's attention to place our orders in, get a to-go box, and to get the check. It was pretty irritating.Note that there is an added 3% charge for those using card; bring cash to save some money.Four Seasons, you're definitely out for me.Metered street parking in the area.+low quality and preparation of food items+new or change in owners/management+undercooked rice+undercooked dumplings+horrific, non-existent service+metered street parking in the area

I have been wanting to stopIn for some time at this Bridgeport spot. It has a really nice bright happy sign out front, but when you step inside it's dim and just not welcoming. I was the only non Asian person dining, I felt as though I was in a Chinatown joint and had entered through the alley door. Ordered the hot & sour soup....ummm, absolutely delicious but I got a gallon of it. Trust me the leftovers are long gone but I was not expecting so much. I ordered the steamed pork, shrimp and chive dumplings. I was hoping that they might be steamed and then finished off in a hot pan just to add a nice sear. Nope. Not soggy at all but was missing the slight crunch and the flavor was lacking. I'll try the place next door instead of coming back.

is it as good as qxy? I don't think so but I also think they're totally different ball games. qxy is very delicate and is a soup dumpling but it's also $$$$. this dumpling is hearty and filling and a great value and also delicious! their other good is really good as well. the ambience and service are excellent what you'd expect from an authentic Chinese place, iykyk

Thought the service is a little slower, the food was very flavorful and the portions were sized perfectly that we even had leftovers. The vibe is quiet but honestly relaxing to enjoy time with the family without having to talk over one another while sharing a delicious meal. Highly recommend and would

Ordered takeout through Chowbus after being recommended this restaurant from a friend. The dumplings and pancake arrived still hot - dumplings were super juicy. We ordered both the chive, pork and shrimp and the cabbage and pork dumplings. Both were amazing. The food was prepared super quickly and timely. The food also arrived early! I recommend ordering chili oil as well since they do it really well there!Highly recommended and will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in the Chicago area

We had a birthday celebration here recently, although I'd called days prior to ensure we'd have a table on the day of, no one knew of my reservation. However, the boss quickly pulled some tables together and we got seated. We ordered individual plates and shared some. I can't remember what everyone had as the dinner progressed and the spirits poured freely. BYOB. Lots of great food and the servers were extremely accommodating. I think our party closed the place that night. No frills, great preparation and presentation. Reminds me of the late night places I'd used to go to in Chinatown back in the 90's.

It's a bit outside of Chicago's actual Chinatown, but it's less crowded in this area so it's not as busy, which is nice because it's quieter. Parking... you can find it on the street and it's free on the street on Sundays. Most of the dishes are really decently priced and the servings are good enough. The salt and pepper tofu was slightly battered and very good at $12, the vegetable fried rice $10 was not too oily, but had enough vegetables, including broccoli and it wasn't too salty, the vegetables w garlic $12, sauce was not so great because the garlic sauce was a little bit too thick with Cornstarch so it seemed a little gelatinous and it was a bit spicy. Overall, a really good deal for your budget. They are known for their dumplings and they are good.

let me tell you i was STUFFED after this meal and I had to bring leftovers home. The portion size is huge as you can see and the dumplings are very satisfying. We got both fried and boiled and both were super delicious but the boiled dumplings had a softer bite to it while the fried ones were thicker and fluffier due to the dough rising. The staff were super polite and the ambiance was very calming. This is not a quick eats restaurant this is a place to sit and talk and drink tea for a while. The food did take quite some time to come out but I understand because every authentic local dumpling place i've been to has been like that. It's not unenjoyable but just expect to wait a while for your food.

Absolutely incredible! It's a very cozy place. The vibe is "come here, eat handmade homemade food that comes from the heart, and stay here for as long as your want"It feels like you're at a loving mom's house. This is also the place where you go when you really don't want to be bothered by big crowds, but you want high quality food.I've come here so many times and im genuinely so grateful for everyone at this restaurant to be a part of the wonderful experience it bring to not only me, but my family as well

The crispy pork elbow portion is small, not as much as when dining in, it's all bones and fat, Half the box is empty and the lettuce is a little rotten PS: The portions for dine-in and takeout are significantly different. This isn't the first time; previously, the portions of taro (dessert) were even smaller, especially compared to the first time I ordered.
