Zato is my new favorite Thai restaurant! I've dined in several times and ordered takeout a handful of times. The staff is incredibly friendly--I'm always greeted with a warm smile and kind demeanor. The food is delicious, and I've tried several items on the menu. My husband and I even went there for Valentine's dinner last night. I also love that it's BYOB!

We are fans of Thai food in general. This place stands above. The Thai food here is so good and so delicious. The Tom Ka Gai soup is excellent and every other dishes we ordered - the pad thai and the panang curry - were both delicious.

Food is phenomenal! It's a halal Thai place which is absolutely amazing! Huge selection for any picky eater, one of the best orange chickens in town I can guarantee that. Clean place, service fast and professional, refills for beverages come super quickly. Overall my new top Thai place for sure

If you're craving Thai food and pass Zato by, you're missing out. Zato is a regular stop for me. Every dish I've had is fresh and bursting with flavor. Most recently I tried the fresh roll appetizer. I subbed tofu for the shrimp in one of the 2 rolls. It consisted of firm tofu, lettuce, basil. Peek at the pic below, because the presentation is beautiful! I shared the parata curry with hub. This is a yellow curry with 2 pieces of paratha. Our waiter, Sonny, explained that paratha is similar to naan but fried instead of baked. I found it to be slightly greasy. The curry, however, was outstanding. Golden potatoes, carrots and chicken in super creamy and lush sauce. I love that Zato is BYOB - they provide wine glasses, unlike some establishments that simply hand over a plastic water cup.Sonny is the main waiter and he is kind and knowledgeable.PS. The exterior of the restaurant has very dark tinted glass so it appears to be closed.

5/5 Food4/5 Service5/5 PriceOverall thoughts: Solid Thai option in plano/ Dallas area!I really enjoyed this Thai spot! It wasn't too busy when we at around 8pm on a Thursday night. We were seated immediately for a group of 6. There a few other tables already in and I saw to go orders being set out. Our server was a little slow but we weren't in a big rush and she was very friendly! What we ordered: Panang Curry with Chicken - Exactly what I wanted! I was in the mood for some panang curry and this delivered. The flavors were delicious and what I expected. Everything came nice and hot, I got level two spicy and it wasn't too bad. Personally, I would say it was more mild than medium spicy. The dark chili oil they had on the table was sooo good, I swear I put it on every bite. Would definitely order again!Thai Herbal Chicken Fried Rice - My husband got this dish and not gonna lie, I stole a few bites from him. It was also really yummy! The chicken was well seasoned and crispy while the rice and basil leaves paired with it nicely. Would also order this again!Thai Tea - Again, exactly what I wanted and what I was expecting. Yummy Thai tea.

Recently we hosted a small group for dinner and the food and the service was excellent. This small unassuming restaurant is truly a hidden gem We started with the traditional corn patties. They were crisp and full of whole corn. Not the least bit greasy. I had a small Tom Yum Gai that was delicious. It was large enough fir tow of us to split. My main course was pad se eew. Some of the group has sushi that the report back was very fresh. Pad Thai was a big hit from two of the people. Let me end by praising the service. So very friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to go back

We tried dinner here on Friday. The server was sweet and helpful. The steamed dumplings and chicken satay were their best dishes however 10$ for 4 tiny dumplings adds up. The Singapore curry noodles were flavorful in thr entree options but their pad kee now with beef was a let down. We requested a spicy pad kee mow with beef but it was oddly sweet and the beef was overdone. We also ordered the spicy tuna roll and salmon roll both of which were just ok, nothing special. Glad we tried it but probably won't come back.
