Soup here is so good!!You pick what you want to put in your soup, like you go and grab it yourself from the fridge shelf area, you pay by weight and then they cook everything for you on the back with the soup. It's not an all you can eat and it's not the hotpot that you cook yourself on the table, so do t expect that here.Love the taste and I always get more than I need for the soup bowl. Always good for leftovers.

Food was so good and SO fresh! Cute inside and very clean. Alice was amazing, and helped us bag up our leftovers. She was so sweet!

This is the place to be if you want a hot bowl of noodle soup filled with toppings of your choice on a fall or winter day. It's the best pick me up and completely customizable! It takes me about an hour to finish the entire soup. The soup base is so flavorful. You are welcome to add as many toppings to your liking! Toppings include but not limited to different kinds of noodles, meats, veggies.

What makes Yin Tang different from other hot pot places are the personalized hot pots and it is served cooked! You get to choose the vegetables, protein, broth, and spice level and pay by the pound. As of January 2024, it is $13.99/lb. I've also been to the Carrollton location and it's $14.99/lb over there. The broth is absolutely flavorful and delicious! I get the medium spicy and it's the perfect level for me, it does numb your mouth a little bit. If you're looking for some extreme heat, than the large or super spicy will work better! The service is amazing and the staff is always coming up to check on me! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a lowkey hot pot spot and like to eat alone! DFW doesn't have that many personal hot pot places where they serve it cooked for you! The only other place I know of is all the way in Frisco and that's just too far for me.

Flavorful beef broth and fresh vegetables! We were satisfied with the food and the speed of service. The servers were very kind and bright and made us feel good while we ate there. Overall very satisfied and will go back again for a quick malatang.

Amazing food, great selection, and the service is top-tier. My wife and I have been going almost weekly since we started dating and now I've brought many of our friends of various ethnicities here and it's become a staple in all of our restaurant outings. The spice level can get super high, so for all spicy lovers this place will make you happy. It's well-priced and based on weight, between the two of us we usually can eat for around $30 including tip. Also, classic tip is to bring home the soup and then doctor it up again at home for a second round. The soup is to die for. There's almost never any wait, although as it gets more and more popular and discovered I don't know how long that will last. Don't expect hot pot, this is ma la tang, which is a very aromatic soul with unique spices. My recommendations for toppings are the bok choy, broccoli, bamboo shoots, seaweed and white mushrooms for the "veggies"; quail eggs, fatty beef, and fatty intestines for the protein, and don't forget the handmade noodles or the udon noodles!

Absolutely love this concept. I had high expectations and they delivered. Excited to come back! What I got: Built my bowl with a dollop of garlic & chili paste, egg noodle, 1 bok choy, 3 napa cabbage (wish they cut this into bite sizes), 2 fish tofu, 1 scallop tofu, 2 firm tofu, 2 pumpkin slices, 2 beef tenderloin (on side cause I like it barely cooked), medium spice broth - I'm more than sure there's sichuan peppers in it cause of that numbing feeling. Turned out to be .995 lbs and I enjoyed every single bite of it. Honestly the broth here is better than almost every hot pot place I've been to.Environment: I like that it's bright and roomy! Bathroom needs work.Service: A little bit or miss depending on server

The restaurant was clean with nice decor. The wait staffs were nice and attentive and tried to check on us to see if we needed anything. This was a favorite restaurant for my family because everyone got to pick what they liked and the quantity they wanted, including the kind of soup and the spiciness level. I liked that they have all the favorite foods that I loved, like duck blood cubes, fried pig's skin and also pig intestines.

I was very excited to try Yin Tang, though I had no expectations going in. The staff was really friendly and even explained the process to us, quickly and simply. Inside you can see lots of tables, the small sauce bar and "buffet" of items to put into your soup. It's an establishment that is open to everyone. I would recommend Yin Tang if you were wanting Hot Pot, but missing the entourage to successfully enjoy it. It really boils down hot pot to a single serving that is more tailored to you. Yin Tang offers a lot of great options and soup bases. I had the medium spicy soup, not too spicy but it was delicious.

I have been to this location a few times. Recently I noticed the food doesn't taste as good as before, the greens still have dirt on them and some of them are not fresh. So be careful when you pick out your greens. The table surface was oily as well. The price has gone up a lot too. The service is ok, but you will definitely get a side eye from the server if you don't tip high. Probably won't be going back anytime soon.
