Back in November, I visited Woomeeok Korean BBQ in Plano, TX, and let me tell you--this place is nothing short of spectacular. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the smoky aroma of sizzling meat and the lively buzz of diners enjoying their feast. The place was 완전 꽉 찼어요 (completely packed), and for good reason--this is hands-down one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I've had.The Ambiance:Woomeeok perfectly balances modern sophistication with a welcoming, warm vibe. The tables are equipped with high-tech smokeless grills, and the décor blends sleek wood accents with a cozy, upscale feel. Even though it was a full house that night, it didn't feel cramped or chaotic. Instead, the lively energy added to the overall experience. The crowd was a mix of families, friends, and date-night couples, all enjoying the shared experience of grilling and eating together. The vibe here screams 정 (jeong)--that feeling of connection and togetherness that Korean culture embodies so well. The Food:Now, onto the most important part: the food. Woomeeok doesn't mess around when it comes to their meats. We went with one of their combo platters, which came with 갈비 (galbi, marinated short ribs), 삼겹살 (samgyeopsal, pork belly), and 차돌박이 (chadolbaegi, thinly sliced brisket). Each cut of meat was high-quality, fresh, and beautifully marbled.Grilling the meat at the table was half the fun. The 갈비 was sweet, savory, and perfectly tender, practically falling apart in my mouth. The 삼겹살 was crispy on the edges but juicy in the center--exactly how it should be. And the 차돌박이 cooked in seconds, delivering that melt-in-your-mouth experience I can't get enough of. Every bite was pure 맛있다! (delicious!).The 반찬 (banchan, side dishes) were just as impressive. The 김치 (kimchi) had the perfect level of spice and tanginess, the 콩나물 (bean sprouts) added a crunchy freshness, and the 계란찜 (gyeranjjim, steamed egg) was fluffy and comforting. Honestly, I could've filled up on just the side dishes alone--they were that good. The Drinks:What's a Korean BBQ night without some 소주 (soju)? We ordered a bottle and did it the traditional way, pouring shots for each other. If you haven't mixed 소주 with beer (소맥, somaek), you're seriously missing out. It's a combo that pairs perfectly with the smoky richness of BBQ. For those who aren't into soju, they also have a solid beer and cocktail selection. The Service:Despite how busy the place was, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive and friendly, checking in frequently to adjust the grill, bring more 반찬, and make sure everything was just right. One server even taught us how to layer the perfect 쌈 (ssam, lettuce wrap): meat, rice, 쌈장 (ssamjang, dipping sauce), and a slice of garlic. Pro tip: follow their advice--it was a game-changer.The Crowd:The crowd was clearly made up of regulars and first-timers alike, all enjoying the lively, communal atmosphere. The energy was infectious, and it was impossible not to have a good time. If you've never been to a packed Korean BBQ spot, Woomeeok is the perfect introduction to that vibrant dining culture.Final Thoughts:Woomeeok isn't just another Korean BBQ spot--it's a place that elevates the experience to something unforgettable. From the high-quality meats to the impeccable service and electric atmosphere, this restaurant delivers on every level. Whether you're new to 한식 (hansik, Korean cuisine) or a seasoned fan, Woomeeok will leave you full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

We went for an early Mother's Day Lunch here this past Saturday. This place opened as Fusion Kitchen, then, new owners took over and change the name to Woo Mee Ok Korean BBQ four months ago. This AYCE Korean BBQ Restaurant is the only authentic K BBQ in the Metroplex area as far as I'm concerned. The meats are fully freshly marinated, sliced properly and fast to grill. The meats are moist and soft once grilled, it's delicious. LA Kalbi is the best and so as their Bulgogi. The Hotpot with beef broth is sooo good, I won't forget the taste of it. Serving staff, Shaiyen (I think) is friendly, helpful and had patience with our 4 grandkids that made a mess. Lots of parking, has outdoor patio dining and clean and well decorated indoor Korean BBQ Restaurant. Will be back again soon to try their Hawaiian Pork and other meats.

It was honestly really worth the money. It is pretty good the food quality isn't not the greatest but for the price it was delicious. You get a lot of variety and I like how there is a food bar. The restaurant was really clean and spacious. The waiters and staff were super polite and were helpful. Loved it here.

Got the regular order without the premium. I liked how you can mix the food to either cook in the hot pot or on the grill. Condiments was good, and service was on point. I liked the beef belly, bugolgi, but the brisket was a bit tough. The salad bar had a good amount of options for the hot pot. Parking is good. The tables & floors were clean, but overall hoods and light fixtures could use a little TLC.

Woomeeok Plano, formerly Fusion Kitchen (FK), just opened along US75. We've been to FK many times and considered it decent quality. I've also been to the Dallas/Garland location of Woomeeok and liked it a lot, so this was kind of a no-brainer for us. While the price is now higher ($29), we feel the quality is also better. The hotpot is a bit of an afterthought with few meats but a decent selection on the buffet. The KBBQ meats were excellent, and there was a larger variety than at FK. Long story short, we enjoyed it and will be back!

I thought I give this a try today... and I was kind of sad. I don't know if it's because it's a weekday, but the selection they had for their hot pot did not compare to Seapot across the way. I tried to like it , but even their meat selection was also mediocre : / The only one thing I liked was cool was, they had cheese corn. Their service was good. The girls were nice and sweet. But I don't think I'll return .

We went on a Monday during dinner at 6. Fusion kitchen is always my favorite low key Korean barbecue spot around. They have a wide variety of selections of meats and hot pot options that doesn't cost an arm and and a leg. Probably like $24.99 plus tax for both the hot pot and kbbq!I know some folks have bad experiences here, but not me. It's always been near perfection for me. There's always a gentleman in the kitchen cutting up the beef chuck and beef brisket, so it's always coming out piping fresh. Something about him cutting it on the spot and then putting it on the line gets me.We got the combo kbbq and hot pot for today. The hot pot comes in three different flavors. Mild, Sichuan, and tom yum is what I'm thinking the flavors were. All pretty good. For the kbbq meats, you always gotta start off with the beef brisket and beef chuck. It's fast to cook, great tasting, and fresh. All the meats that we ate today were really good. Don't forget that the LA galbi is towards the rice pot which is sometimes hidden from people. All the ingredients were really good and the employees in the back of the line kept it stocked. Our server was working by himself, but he was great. Server changed the grill twice, refilled out hotpot, drinks were refilled.Overall, still one of my favorite spots to go to. Plus they have great drinks specials as well
