If you're looking for good food and great service in a dive-y, casual spot, Woody's Bar and Grill delivers. This no-frills bar and grill has a welcoming vibe, with a menu focused on burgers and drinks.The burgers are solid--just what you'd expect from a good bar meal. While they don't serve fries, there's a variety of bagged chips to satisfy the craving for a side. Drinks include iced tea (sweet or unsweetened) and sodas served in a can with a styrofoam cup of ice. If beer is your go-to, you'll appreciate the large frosted mugs they serve.The restroom for the "woodpeckettes" (ladies) was surprisingly clean, which isn't always the case in spots like this--a nice touch! Also, keep in mind they're cash or check only, but there's an ATM on-site if needed. After 9 PM, it's 21+ only, adding to the classic bar vibe.Overall, Woody's is a fun spot with a laid-back atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood for a chill bar experience.

Love these burgers!Not a great fan of the individuals that chose to smoke cigarettes in such a small older place.(EX SMOKER HERE X)But other that, I be here, and happy about it.This is a gem of a time capsule. Not sure if anythings changed much in atmosphere since the 50's.But the burgers are reasonably priced and truly have the best TASTE.Service good too!

Took the advice of a friend and a few of us drove over from PK Lake. Good flat grill burgers and excellent prices. The beer came out cold and in big goblets (we called them fish bowls). Single, Double, Triple and Quad burgers. No fried foods. A bag of chips is enough for multiple people to share. The building looks like an old barracks, but it's insulated and very comfortable inside even in a hot Texas summer. Table shuffleboard and pool table. Bar area. Not a tremendous amount of tables and it's not the fanciest place, but it's a good bar and grill. 4 of us ate and had drinks for right at $50! Cash only!

My buddy and I were planning a motorcycle ride and I found Woodys on Yelp. Y'all never disappoint me. ONE THING TO REMEMBER BRING CASH!! They don't accept credit cards.It's such a cool little building off the highway. Looks like an old military Quonset hut. Even more nostalgic inside but be aware it fills up fast after they open. It was a Sunday morning and the tables were full within 15 minutes of opening.The food menu is very simple. Burgers, grilled cheese and chips. That's it!! Don't ask for anything g else The burger was really good! I would come back again. A great bar burger!

We tried this place recently as it was recommended to us by the place we were staying. The wait staff were friendly and the service was quick. They only accept cash or check but they have an ATM if needed. We didn't know places still allowed smoking inside and unfortunately we found out this place does. Not ideal for our 2 year old daughter. So I stayed inside for our to-go order. The burgers were ok and my daughter liked her semi-burned grilled cheese. Now that I know they allow smoking I can't recommend it.

Lived in Mineral Wells from 2009-2012. Had quite a few burgers at Woodys, always very good. Was last there 5 years ago, still great burgers! Atmosphere was relaxed and fun, service decent. Would stop in again.

I used to come to this place with my dad so this was a blast from the past. When we would go they had relish on the tables you could put on your lays chips and then drink your beer. Greatness.They have lots of different beers on tap and in a bottle.They still have the lays chips and greasy burgers you can order to your prefence.It's a bar that serves burgers and beer and has a jukebox.It also has customer's that smoke while you eat and that is why it only gets four stars.THEY ONLY TAKE CASH.

Very local feel. The burgers are legit, and the prices are even better. The staff is friendly, too. Classic small town Texas.

Very,very nice staff! Cold drinks! Michelada was yummy. Inside wasn't as bad as I expected, it was clean and didn't smell too bad of cigarette smoke. I want to try their burgers next time!

Went to woody's again Dec 24.Last year, 1st time in August 2023.Burgers are with frozen meat.Walked in, felt like a foreigner, sat at the bar, kind of dark inside. Lady said a general hello when anyone entered. Ignored until two, seemingly locals came in and sat next to me on the end. A few minutes later she ambles up to the bar and says "is this separate or together"?? I said "single" to which she replied "what's up with that", attitude!! And reluctantly proceeded to take my order and then the order of the other two. Cook just throws patties and buns down and fixes everything at one time. Interesting. In a weird way!-)No fries, just grab bags of chips.Cash or check only.Prob won't be back! Seems drama-y.Burger was fixed the way I ordered it!
