Whites Branch Park

We enjoy this park mostly because the splash pad is awesome! The playground has a merry-go-round now, they replaced it finally. I did noticed a TON of flies and ants, I'm guessing they haven't sprayed in a while. Just beware and bring bug spray.The splash pad is open Labor Day through Memorial Day, 10-7pm except Tuesdays. No water balloons are allowed since they clog up the drains. I would recommend bringing your own shade and chair. And snacks and drinks! Whew, it gets super hot. Fun park though!

This park has much potential: it's a pleasant enough park and very conveniently located, just west of 377. It has shaded area for families to enjoy, with a playground and picnic tables and a good amount of parking spots. It has a lengthy trail with lots of shade, but alas it's not too well kept up. My main criticism-why it only gets 2 stars- comes from the trash that is seemingly everywhere at this park! I hiked up the gravel nature trail that runs up the hill and was disgusted by the amount of garbage everywhere and the graffiti on the bench. It made me uncomfortable and it took away from the genuinely unique and interesting view. Later, as I walked on the main concrete trail I saw a discarded ceiling fan, just tossed aside, even with the wires sticking out. I think it's unsafe to have trash out in the open like that. It's very sad that the city doesn't maintain this park better, as it could be such a gem. Haltom City folks really deserve a cleaner place to relax!

A perfect park for a nice walk, close to us!They have nice playing area for kids, well maintained trails and nice and small creeks around the park.Nice wooden benches all over to sit down at when tired..
