Excellent tour in historic downtown Waxahachie. Mr. Reid was very informative and entertaining. He freely showed our group photos and videos of his and other guests experiences. A unique experience to visit the town at night when it's quiet. I took a beautiful shot of the Courthouse lit up in all of its glory. Enjoyed the history lessons of the area. I would highly recommend this tour for a unique night out.

Douglas was an excellent guide! I have done several guided haunted tours, and you can tell he really enjoys the history and the back story to each and every spot he takes you to. Would definitely recommend!

I talked a small group of relatives/friends into going on a ghost tour with me to celebrate the month of October. After some hunting around the web I found the Waxahachie Haunted History tour. Because there were 6 of us, we had the opportunity to book a private tour on a Friday night. The owner and tour guide, Mr. Douglas Reid, is a Waxahachie local, and wonderful Southern gentlemen. His stories were fascinating, and even though they often dealt with darker subjects, were artfully handled. On other ghost tours I've taken, the stories chosen were dark and horrible - not haunting, just stomach turning - but Mr. Reid's tales were chilling and fun! There is a wealth of historical information presented, and for us, it took about 2 hours. (But it didn't feel long at all.) In fact I was sad for it to end! At many locations, Mr. Reid had spooky pictures on his phone, taken on previous tours, which we all gathered round eagerly to view. There were orbs and shadows and strange faces in windows, even mysterious reflections in mirrors! Sadly, none of my photos showed any evidence of the paranormal ;) but there's always next year! Waxahachie was a decent drive from Fort Worth, but well worth it. We'll be going back - there's interesting architecture and downtown festivals to enjoy - but most of all, there are a few other "haunted" places Mr. Reid told us about in the area that I have a hankering to visit. Hands down best Haunted History Tour ever!

Went out with my girlfriend on this tour on a summer night. First off, the streets are well lit and low traffic at night. The tour guide is funny, he told jokes, friendly, knowledgeable... He has a little trick involving dumdums that I bet wins popularity for the kids (and me). You will be amazed by the stories!
