Walnut Creek Farm

I ordered a quarter cow and upon delivery found that I had only 90 pounds of 'beef' including the weight of the boxes and 9 pounds of that was literally bone, nothing on the bone. When informed they did provide the missing meat and threw in a little extra that was appreciated.

Walnut Creek is an amazing farm. We've been getting our produce, eggs, and meat from them for about a year. Eating seasonal and local makes a big difference in how we feel. They have fantastic customer service. I place orders with them and they have ready for us when we arrive to pick up. We've also used their delivery service, which is great as well.

I'm only saying poor- fair because there isn't a button for TOTALLY HORRIBLE. Worst customer service! Ever! 1. Quality- We purchased stew meat from them and, in my opinion, it was not properly sealed. It leaked raw meat juice in my car and was very nasty! 2. I do not believe that they delivered on their initial promises. When I first met Mark, I thought it was going to be alot of fun getting to know them and buying lots of meat from them. BUT there always seemed to be some little issue...either we ordered stew meat that was not adequately cut-up or their price would not be reflective of what I understood to be our initial agreement. They also told us that 24 hour turn around time was no problem-- but there were often times that my order was not ready when I came to pick it up. Once, when the meat was being delivered, the stew meat was not priced as I understood initially. When I told him that I didn't want the roast he, in my opinion, threw a big hissy fit on my porch. My children overheard him yelling at me and insulting (I am a woman). I wouldn't waste my time with this farm...there are plenty of lovely farmers who would love your business!
