Looks small, but packed with good variety of prepackaged & frozen Asian food, drinks, vegetables, fruits, & cooking supplies. They have great selection of different instant noodles to include different flavors of Indonesian ones, shrimp shumai, frozen eggrolls, fish tofu, asian meatballs, durian, honey mangos, prepackaged seasonings. They also have a few stuffed Asian bread in the front of the store. It's clean & organized. The aisles are tight, because of how much they have, so if you want to spend time browsing, consider going during not-so-busy hours. The staff were responsive to longer line of customers & worked efficiently by opening another cash register.

Frustrating, left me disappointed and off to a better store 5 mins away. I needed a few simple items. White pepper, shrimp, pork, sesame oil, soy sauce, wonton wrappers, fresh/dried wonton noodles. Wow. This place disappointed. The shrimp was pricier than the other location. There was no white pepper (grounded finely, only whole), no wonton wrappers from my inspection, and generally lacked a lot of goodies. The fish guy threw the fishes on the floor before cleaning. Odd and.. disgusting.

I just don't get why people pay so much for herbs and vegetables at your typical "American" grocery stores. I realize there are probably some things you want to buy from Kroger and Tom Thumb (I place meat in this category), but other things make no sense at all, namely herbs (basil, mint, cilantro, etc.) and vegetables. The prices are so reasonable, you'll feel rather silly for shelling out all that cash for a sprig of mint elsewhere. Most herbs are three bunches for a dollar... In the American grocery stores it more like a dollar for a single bunch. You also find other staples, sriracha, chili paste, hoisin, etc. to be less expensive too. And that''s without mentioning all the other items you won't find anywhere else. Yes the meat and seafood area can present an offactory challenge, but if you want the best price on fresh live crabs, look no further. Now I will be honest in that I do question the cleanliness and sanitary practices of the wet counter, but I have eaten many a meal prepared from items from the meat and seafood department and have yet to suffer any ill affects. So I guess looks can be deceiving. Lastly, I've never had any problem with the "friendliness" of the staff, though sometimes I've encountered a bit of a language barrier. If you can't say the Vietnamese name of the item you are looking for, you may be met with some blank stares. If that happens, look for a younger person (perhaps even another shopper) and ask again. Chances are you will receive the help you need to find what you are looking for.

I've been having to go here for about 20 years. Some things never change, like unfriendly employees and the rank stench that hits you in the face when you enter. I'd never buy seafood here since fresh fish isn't supposed to stink (didn't stop my mom tho). She liked getting the huge grapes, until she realized the huge grapes had huge seeds inside (and yeah, like any self-respecting Asian from the Old Country, she tried to return fruit). I remember back in the day they'd just load up dead sea creatures and stick 'em in coolers to fester. Now I think they make the attempt to ice them. There didn't used to be other Asian grocery options until Nguyen Loi opened, and then Hong Kong market. Now there really is no need to venture inside. But srsly, double and triple check your mung bean cake to make sure there's no mold.

I've been here to pick up stuff for my restaurant and they always there to help me. You can even call ahead of time to get it so they can have it ready. And when i say when I get to the place, the STUFF already ready there at the door for me to pick it up. AWESOME! The people work are extremely nice, I mean they all check the items and make sure that the items I purchase is good to take. Like for instance, the basils...beansprouts etc.

This place is much cleaner than Nguyen Loi. I sometimes avoid going to Nguyen Loi and make the extra 5 minute drive to come here. They have fresh/clean vegetables and everything is easy to find. The cashiers aren't very friendly though. No hello, thank you, have a nice day, or anything. I guess that's how it is at every Asian grocery store around here. It's a shame because customer service is very important. I come here and give you guys my business, the least I can get is a thank you. Smh.

I've got quite a few Asian cookbooks that I don't use too often since ingredients for some of the recipes can't be found here in the 'white bread and butter' part of town. I was driving on Belknap today and decided to stop in this grocery and do a little scouting for future reference. I'm glad I did. (I've been to one other Asian market in the area and, let's just say, I wasn't impressed.)When I first walked in, I was pleasantly surprised NOT to be hit with any stinkiness. None. Maybe they had just done a major cleaning or something, but it wasn't aromatic today. I walked down all the aisles in the store and they sure have lots of things in plastic bags, bottles, jars, and cans that I never knew existed. Chances are that when I go back with my shopping list, they'll have what I need (hope so, anyway). I didn't buy anything today; I just looked. The produce area is pretty small and looks like it can be hit or miss as far as what's fresh on the day you go. The Chinese eggplant didn't look good today, but many other things like the Chinese broccoli (gai lan?), various herbs, bitter melon, and green papaya did look very nice. I've always wanted to make the Thai green papaya salad (Som Tam?). Now I know where to find the ingredients. The meat and seafood area looked OK and surprisingly smelled OK (which is why the whole store smelled OK). Some of the cuts of meat looked different than what I'm used to, but appeared fresh. The shrimp also looked fine and I may just buy some next time. They also have live catfish, for those so inclined. And there were a couple aisles of cooking apparatus, serving/eating utensils, bowls, and plates, steamers, etc. There were also some humongous cooking vessels, maybe geared toward restaurants (or very large families).Anyway, I'm now motivated to get back into Asian cooking without having to make ingredient substitutions. Time to pull out those cookbooks and set off the smoke detectors!

Pretty good store with lots of Vietnamese items, some Chinese, and some if everything else. Delicious kimchee in the refrigerated section. Disappointed I couldn't find some Chinese items...oh well. Can't win them all.

DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!! The owner of this store is CROOKED. The female owner intentionally sold me the wrong products. I was recommended by my coworkers to buy steamed rice cake at this store. It had been years since I bought anything here and usually go to the ones in Arlington. Overpriced and dirty. I suggest everyone should go to Arlington for anything Vietnamese and Asian. I'm surprised this store is still in business and hasn't been shut down by the health department.

Small. Sometimes there are good prices and good food and products. Rude customer service and rude cashiers.
