Valerie’s taco shop

Stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. It wasn't too busy. Most people seemed to be using the drive thru and not many dining in. Ordering is done at the counter. I ordered the California burrito and a carne asada quesadilla. When then called my order was ready, luckily I checked because it was only the burrito and no quesadilla. I waited around a few more minutes and finally was ready. The girl working the counter put a side of pico de gallo for me but put it in very sloppy so it's was knocked over in the bag and the liquid got everywhere. She was friendly, but just didn't seem like she cared about anything. Wasn't a huge fan of getting a bag of wet food.The food was decent. Flavors were good, but the carne asada in both the burrito and quesadilla was pretty dry. Wish it wasn't so well done.I would return, but maybe with lower expectations.

Saw this place in Arlington Foodies FB group so thought I would give it a try. The burrito was HUGE! Very fresh and made by order. I wish they had a self serve pop dispenser but all was good. Has a nice salsa bar with some great sauces. Definitely going back and recommending to others!

Food was good. I was expecting more but it was good to eat! No beans in anything. I think you have the ask to put it in the food but as a Tex-mex I expect beans in everything Hispanic!

I went to Valerie's the other day and the food was 10/10. I just went today 1/2/25 and it not up to par. My rolled tacos were cold the tacos don't even look edible. The cook this day was horrible. But on the 12/31/24 the cook was amazing and made my order great. I will go back but I will be leaving in the same cook that made my food today is there. My cravings today was not satisfied. I'm actually disappointed . Especially after spending about $50.

Been here twice now. For anyone from San Diego and/or familiar with San Diego carne asada fries and taco shops, this is the place to go! So happy Euless has a legit taco shop (NOT tex mex).Their burritos are HUGE. For me, it's easily 2 meals.They have pickled carrots and jalapeños at the salsa bar...yummy!Carne asada fries were pretty close to what I remember in SD.The shop itself looks like a typical family owned taco shop.I will be going here to try more things.

Is there a way to do a zero stars? At first, this place had potential, amazing Mexican food! It's been declining and now, last straw, for me anyways.. got the rolled tacos I always get and am super disappointed, idk how to even describe the taste, horrible. Horchata tasted like dirty water, carne asada burrito, gross and salsa was ridiculously nasty. Never again will I eat there. Sorry not sorry.

Good taco shop that reminds me of Southern California! California burritos, crispy tacos and the drinks were excellent. I'll be going back to try more food!

Born and raised in So Cal this is the best Mexican food I have had since arriving to Texas in 2005. This will be a monthly if not weekly stop for us.

We've been a few times in the last few weeks. Everything has tasted fresh and delicious. The portions are huge and prices are reasonable. Drive thru is open, just pull up to window to order. Some standouts have been the breakfast burritos, the el pastor burrito, carne asada quesadilla, aguas frescos, the corn tortilla rolled tacos (different from the flour tortilla flautas they also serve). Inside they have a salsa bar. The chips and guacamole are great- simple guac recipe and large portion, plus the chips were still warm when we arrived home with our food. The restaurant does seem like they were in a soft opening phase this past month, but the service was friendly and our orders were consistently accurate across several trips there. We will definitely be back to try the tortas and more soon. Happy to have a new spot this good in the area.

Service was slow and food was overpriced for the quality. The guacamole was way too salty and everything else lacked flavor. The chicken tasted more like shrimp than it did chicken and the rice was beyond bland. The corn tortillas were somehow too oily and tough all at the same time. There was one garbage in the lobby and it was overflowing. The only good part was the green salsa. Will not be returning
