Watching the galaxys on a Wednesday night
Inside the planetarium
Stole this shot while Jo was positioning Charlie for his astro-shot...
I feel like if Charlie was on the moon, he wouldn't be bothered with looking at their camera either!

this place is the best for an hours worth of entertainment. usually tickets are about $8 per person, the seating inside the dome is spacious and parking on campus is plentiful. usually i park in the maverick building for $4/per hour. i've gone to see a documentary of the aurora borealis and the holiday music show. towards the end the main speaker will point out constellations of the night sky. highly recommend!

Went to the UTA Planetarium and saw the show "Astronaut". I liked it although the beginning made me dizzy. They show you on a rollercoaster going around the rings of saturn and it is amazing how you can feel like you are on a rollercoaster even while sitting still in a big comfy chair.I would say the Astronaut show is geared toward people going with pre-school to middle school age kids. There are other evening shows that looked cool, but I haven't seen them. After the beginning, it goes into a lot about astronaut training and I would say it keeps your attention. I mostly thought the planetarium was really impressive and it is an advantage of being in a big metro area that there are things to do that are not available many places.

Pretty cool I feel like the tour of the Galaxy that starts before the show is the best part after that the main shows get alittle boring. Went to The Black Hole showing very informative but lacked entertainment for the kids. I would give it a try for the experience they say its the biggest Planetarium in Texas & the seats were extra comfortable.

This was such a fun date experience! UTA held a Valentine's Day themed show called "romancing under the stars". They decorated the lobby with rose petals, complimentary sparking grape juice, and a Valentine's themed photo booth. They also had roses to give out. Tickets were $10 each and were bought at the door. Our guide was incredible! He was funny, entertaining, and informative! All a great mix for a fun night! He mainly talked about the constellations (the name of the show gives it away). He told us the stories behind the constellations and also told us some information about some of the planets. They have several shows throughout the week and weekend. The planetarium is family friendly, this specific show was mainly for couples (adults). Definitely a fun experience, I'll surely visit again and take my friends and family. There's a nearby parking garage.

This place is hard to reach and parking is a pain. The road leading up to this place is being worked on and the parking lot is closed. If you want to visit here try in a few months till the roads are fixed.

My girlfriend and I went to a showing of a 3D rollercoaster ride experience which was disappointing. I would not recommend going to see that show because it gets boring real fast. Have not tried their other shows, but I'm sure they're a lot better. Now the reason why I'm giving it four out of five stars was because of the narrator at the beginning of the show. Before the actual show, there was a person who took us on a quick tour of the galaxy, showing us different planets and constellations. It was the best part of the show that wasn't actually part of the show.I personally have not gone to any of the educational showings, but from the small experience I did see, it looks like it will actually end up being a fun experience. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Educational and Entertaining. Great technology, nice staff, clean waiting area and restrooms. Our presentation actually ended with our narrator pointing out some of his own research. One star deducted because our preschooler got bored towards the end combined with the website not reflecting actual titles or times, resulting in a pleasant, but avoidable one-hour wait.
