Upstairs Circus - Deep Ellum

Fun. Fun. Fun. We were not drinking so we were able to finish our products. Crafting was so relaxing. The music was good. The staff is very helpful.

Had a really great time for brunch with my girls. It was totally different than what we have done before. We lasted about 2 hours. I found it a lil odd they reuse transfer paper. The unlimited mimosas is from 11 to 1:30 pm but upon arrival at 11:30 no mimosas were poured up until we got our craft which was a bout 12. Overall it was a good experience. No food served for brunch but you can bring your own snacks but not really much time for that

It's better to make reservations than just walk in. We were greeted by the host and she recommended us to make reservations for the next day or come back in couple hours, we didn't want to wait a couple hours so we chose to come back to next day. We booked six thirty in the afternoon. We were the first one there but definitely hard to find parking on weekends, my husband had to park quite far away. So plan accordingly. The host was so sweet to me, encouraging and kept checking in on us! Ah I wish I remember her name. I ordered a lavender cocktail, but it's way too sweet for my liking, it kinda made me a bit nauseous of the sweetness, my husband thinks the opposite, he thinks it's perfect. So depends on your taste. If you wanna be safe, order wine or beer. We picked up our projects, I decided to do a luggage tag and my husband was making koozie. Hate to say, ours kinda made it ugly and messy ! Hahaha' but the host was so encouraging and sweet to us saying it's sooo good! Many thanks to her having faith in us. His project are so much easier than mine. Mine has so many measurements and the words are so tiny and kinda not easy to read. I had to ask them a couple times to teach me the steps (since you have to follow the steps and work on it yourself), at the end, I yoloed it and just go with my heart! Not bad but not the best I would say! Hahaha too embarrassed to show our finished work! There were so many projects for you to choose from, you will have 3 hours to work on it.

We had a great time. The staff was so friendly and the projects were things you'd actually want to use/keep. I made a string art for my apartment (my first time and they were so helpful with direction), my sister made a passport wallet, and my friend made bracelets that she got so many compliments on. Whatever you need, the staff is there to help. Even if you need extra supplies....I didn't finish mine in the allotted time but no worries, they sent me home with all the supplies I needed to finish & the drinks were good too. I only took a pic of mine but everyone's came out great. Glad we stumbled across this place. It was a perfect day time drinking activity!

This place is so neat! Nice drink selection, helpful staff, variety of crafts, and a generally fun atmosphere. It's a bit on the pricey side. Good variety in music as you're working, also. This is a fun date night or group activity but can definitely be enjoyed solo too. As an introvert, I appreciate that they give you an instruction card to figure it out, so it doesn't *have* to be a social thing unless you want it to be.

This unique diy/bar was an absolute hit with my team! We wanted a unique, team building experience and found it in Upstairs Circus. I can't wait to return with family to create another hat or paint another wall hanging. The bar service was quite good, just note that no food is served. You can bring your own snacks or appetizers. We DoorDashed some pizza, but you are so busy making your project and interacting with other patrons that you don't really need it.

The hubs and I came to Dallas for Meow Wolf spent our first evening in Deep Ellum. We passed by UC and saw people crafting, drinking, and having an all around good time. I was so intrigued, I shot a picture of the door and made reservations for the next day. The hub and I made leather crafts for each other! It was super fun, and everyone there was helpful and friendly... it was a perfect Sunday afternoon date! Why don't they have places like this where I live!?

I had an amazing time here. It's a little on the expensive side of things, but keep in mind you're paying for an experience and sometimes expensive means exclusivity. Although my project didn't turn out the way I would've wanted, I still had an amazing time. I suggest if you're an arts and crafts person that you go check it out.

This place is so fun! Workshop meets bar The hosts explained what we will be doing and how the workshop works. There are 2 menus... the project and drink menu. You choose your project and go the back of the room and they give you the main items to build your project. I chose to do the pet collar for my fur baby, Rayne. I got to paint the straps my self with the colors of my choosing. I was a little intimidated at first but as I got into it I wanted to more...lol. It was really fun! They have 3 other locations so if you are ever in those areas you should check out Upstairs Circus!

This was SUCH a fantastic experience. I went here for some bonding with my dad. We enjoyed the bottomless mimosas and were able to complete 2 crafts! The service was amazing and they were soooo helpful at choosing and completing the crafts. I will definitely be returning when back in Texas!
