Have you ever been with a group of people where some want to chill, propped up at a bar while the others were looking to shake a tail feather? Just go to Townhouse. The indoor décor downstairs exudes a modern day Victorian era while the best Dallas DJ ever (DJ Souljah) plays the hottest songs that we all occasionally get ratchet to. And the upstairs is outdoors and more light-hearted and relaxed--the perfect playground for the chill people. Not sure why the reviews aren't great. Guys, it's a club. Yes, the music is going to be loud. Yes, you might be denied entry if you don't dress the part. And sure, the customer service might not exceed your expectations. But what club does? --just kinda comes with the territory, unfortunately. They play mostly popular hip-hop, and the crowd is pretty mixed; probably a little more cream than cookies if that matters to anyone :) I went on a Friday night which was pretty vacant, but didn't care because we had bottle service. The reviews about the bottle girls is true. They were pleasant but pretty inattentive. No worries on my end; the other staff members compensated for their negligence. I would definitely go back. I would try Saturdays to see if the freaks get out that night. Ha... ha... ha..

One thing I love to do is hang out and be social, especially if the establishment is nice. I'd been here once about 2 years ago for a bday party where my friend had rented out the entire patio area. When we left I thought it was strange that there were literally like 6 people in the club at 1am but didn't pay it any kind since that wasn't our party. But let me tell you!!! We were celebrating my husbands 37th birthday this weekend and I knew I wanted to go somewhere upscale and book a booth for us to party. We are a rather mature bunch that like to party, drink and socialize, and we have the ability to pay to party. I sent them an email inquiry on Monday 9/2 to see about booth rentals, no one ever responded. I figured since they weren't open until Wednesday's that I'd at least get a response by Wednesday 9/4... No response... then I started calling (214) 754-8717 and an instant message comes on saying the party isn't available. So we decide to go anyway right? No harm no foul. When we arrive they charge $20 cover, $22 if you use a card and $20 for parking when they are simply pulling your car into the parking garage right behind the club where the sign says $5!!!! Then at the door we ask about booths and this random guy says I'll give you my number cause I handle the booths and I say I've been emailing and calling why didn't you answer then???? they finally say all of the booths are sold out to their regular patrons which is ok. However when we get in there is ABSOLUTELY nowhere to sit for persons that haven't made a booth purchase. WTH?! So we just sit on this box between the booths and made a seat lol! The music was played from the early 2000s which was cool cause those were our jams from our younger days. Then we notice the music changing gradually to like African dance music. As we observe the crowd pouring in it appears to be all Africans with the cultural attire on. We continue to sit to allow them time to switch between music styles like the websites says but they never do. I have nothing against Africans since I am African American myself, however I do have an issue with the poor business conducted with this establishment. We will not be going back and I'd advised against it if I were you unless you like being bamboozled out of money AND ignored when you're trying to patronize.

I think this club has some really good potential to make it. We arrived here after dinner on Valentines evening. It was nice inside. The bartenders were great and of course they have bottle service but we didn't indulge in that. We went upstairs to the second floor which was nice and we found some seating area without getting bottle service. The outside patio was really nice. They had a fire going since it was chilly out and inside there was a Dj and a small dancing area. I would go back to try this place again. It's the typical price of uptown area but the music and atmosphere was fun. I would recommend going early though and of course be sure that you bring your girlfriends if you are not a girl. It was almost a hard time to get in except Zaza called them in advance to let them know that we were heading that way and we got dropped off by the hotel. So that being said the manager was very nice and accommodating and let us right in. If not I may have had to make some phone calls. ;) Have fun!!!

So I bought a table for hookah. While sitting waiting on the hookah to come a man comes up and says he sold the section. We are like well we just bought hookah for the section. He's like oh alright takes my name and leaves. Then another lady comes up and is like well you have to buy a bottle of order to buy the section. I was like no one told me I needed a to buy a bottle. She was like well you can stay here for now but if someone comes and buys the section you have to move. I look around none of the other tables had bottles or hookahs we were the only one buying. But there were people sitting at the tables and no one went to them. A group of girls had wanted to sit at our table apparent and instead of directing them to an empty table, there were several, they tried to make us move. So I kindly asked for a refund(which I got so they get two stars) and left for the night.Great decor. Nice seating and ok music. They should have been more explicit in their table policy.

Went on Sunday night 11/12 around 11pm and it was pretty dead. Gave it a shot, grabbed a drink and tried to go to patio. Security said it was closed, understood, but then saw him let multiple people go up. Finished our drink and left. Whatever his reason was, not very inviting.Would give it a 1 but DJ (good few songs) and bartender made a good drink.

These people will keep you in line until after midnight and say it's $20 after midnight. You walk into the club and it's EMPTY!!! Also they will charge you "tax", which in Texas is 8.25% and charge you 10%. Not honest at ALL!!!

One star not for any sort of treatment. The place is absolute garbage and can't say much for the crowd either. I get the vibe of a bunch of wannabes who want to be seen. Accidentally went to the spot for the first time and I'm glad as it is my first and last. Anyone with a brain cell can surely do better.

I've been here a bunch of times. Great atmosphere, staff and service! The bathroom attendant is so sweet which is always a plus. The rooftop is spectacular I've had a few birthday events here and we always have a blast- particularly at the upstairs tequila bar. My favorite thing is that there's lots of parking available you don't have to valet.

This place kind of sucks. There is barely any room and it's so crowded it's impossible to do much. There is not a stage or anything like that so no one knew where to look for the DJ. The roof was closed then opened then closed a bunch, bathrooms are 3 stalls for both genders. Bouncers were nice, but everyone else inside was rude and wouldn't help u find the bathroom. Definitely better places to go in Dallas.
