Waitresses were not very bright, service was garbage, and the cover was $5 for no live music.

Pretty good spot to go out with friends, I took my girlfriend and her best friend here and we all had a blast

I mean, if you are looking for a tourist stockyard experience this isn't the place for you. I went with my local friends while traveling from out of town- relatively quick service, beer is MUCH cheaper than places like Billy Bob's. Scene was CRAZY. Kinda awkward to be honest. No country music here, disco balls & 2000's rap music it is!

Just moved to the area and had Thirsty Armadillo recommended to us, as we wanted a good country bar with some live music. Great atmosphere! We went here on a Friday evening around 8pm and it wasn't very busy and by the time we left, it had picked up a bit. The bartender was nice and quick, but unable to make a Colorado bulldog (my favorite... unsure if they didn't have the cream or if she didn't know what it was?). The music quality was great, not too loud to be unable to hold a conversation. My only complaints: people smoking. Where we are from, smoking is banned from any indoor place. Thought that was the same for Fort Worth, but there were ash trays on many of the tables. Also, it was so unbearably cold inside. The day was warm, maybe they turned on the air conditioning? The doors were kept open too, but even the bathroom was ice cold. Would be nice in the summer, but not January. :) Will definitely return for more live music!

My little cousin turned 21 and wanted to have a night out on the town with her squad. We ended up in the Stockyards and the Thirsty Armadillo is where we ended the night. The "free cover" signs outside, along with the music (that surprisingly wasn't country on a Saturday night) was a big draw for our group. When we walked in, it was packed and people were in various stages of revelry--some were just getting started and some were ready to call it a night. Despite being packed, the venue is actually a decent size and has many different areas for patrons to hang out. The dance floor was popping, which I enjoyed. I like to dance so I hopped right on the dance floor and joined in with the "line dances" going on. Bar service is fairly quick and friendly and drinks are not ridiculously priced (although they are kind of small). While the Thirsty Armadillo would not be my choice of a venue, I would return based on the experience I had.

Everything is made from scratch and made fresh daily. The chef makes his Homemade Teriyaki and Asian BBQ sauce to go on his wings as well as cal slaw, horseradish sauce. Place order with one of our bartenders

Super friendly bartenders. Bouncers/security are clowns. One guy was walking around with cuffs, mace, baton, and collection of other things he received when he failed out of the police academy. No live music on Fridays. I doubt it will survive on what is literally the easiest street to make a bar work this side of Nashville.

The most amazing fix to your whole stockyards vibe. They are very fast and always friendly. I love this place.

THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD FOR OTHER PROPLES' TABS!! CARELESS CARD HANDLING IF YOU OPEN A TAB. I went to pay for my tab (I HAD ONE $4 DRINK!!) and they charged "my" card and handed me the card and receipt to sign and it was somebody else's card! I said that's not my card and she took my actual card out, charged it and had me sign. So somebody else got charged for my tab first! Also charged me an extra $25 that I never agreed to

Went in for a single round and within 15 minutes they lost my credit card. Response was "sorry, cards go missing". This from the manager after the bartender said she accidentally dropped all the cards in the trash and mine must have gotten lost. The worst customer service I have ever received. Still managed to have my card information to charge the tab though!
