Looking for some last minute Christmas gifts? This is the place to go! They offer free gift wrapping services.The Toy Maven has a few locations in the DFW area and offer such a wide variety of toys. The employees at this location are always super friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you pick out gifts based on age groups. The prices are reasonable. Maybe not as competitive as some of the corporate giants but that's expected from a specialty toy store. They carry a large amount of Jellycats too! I was able to get a Jellycat that was sold out everywhere online. They charge the same prices you'd see on the Jellycat site.

GREAT place! Went in today with my special needs teen to look at toys. He was GLUED to the trinket section near the registers and stayed mostly there. Stimming sounds and all the staff didn't bat an eye. You can tell it's a loving store when a loud 6foot 1 special needs teen doesn't attract their stares. LOVE! We just walked around, he found a few sensory toys (the toob was a hit) and I found another Zingo game that we don't own yet. Their toy selection is amazing! Board games, Legos, sensory, learning and baby things. Girls sections and boys. I wish we had a toy maven in SW Fort Worth. Yeah, we drove just to go to this toy store and it did not disappoint. See y'all again soon!

Such a great place to find unique toys/gifts and to support a LOCAL BUSINESS! they have a vast assortment of fun items and SUPER HELPFUL STAFF! And FREE GIFT WRAP! I LOVE this place to but grandchildren gifts. So happy they have survived the pandemic! BUY LOCAL! AND THEY HAVE A LOYALTY PROGRAM!

After shopping at the Preston/Royal location for years I had high expectations for this store. What a letdown. Zero customer service. No hello on the way in, no one asked if I need help when it was clear I did. I was in the store for an hour looking for certain brands and items and several employees walked right by me with nothing. The store is poorly organized, so I had to walk around the store for 20 minutes before I could even start to shop. I didn't ask for help because I was so put-off by the staff. On the way out I learned the Preston/Royal location is being temporarily housed at Preston and Forest while the store is repaired after the October tornado. I'm glad I will not have to return to this location.

Needed a gift on the way to kid's birthday party. I was impressed by the selection (with a good range of prices too), but even more impressed by the staff's knowledge of toy's and what might appeal to the gender and age we were buying for. After a little bit off looking we had a gift in hand (Transparent Marble Run). The Toy Maven also has a small selection of greeting cards, so that's two items with one stop. To top things off our purchase was gift-wrapped for free. We'll definitely keep The Toy Maven in mind for future purchases.

Excellent selection of toys, fair pricing, such a kind staff. Loved the gift wrapping with no additional fee. Will definitely be back, have been looking for a brick and mortar toy store and this one is excellent! Playmobil, Callico Critters, Lego, Barbie, STEM toys, Melissa and Doug to name a few, as well as a great selection of books...my daughter had a blast and I did too!

Awesome knowledgeable staff for dads that have no clue and they wrap. I will never shop anywhere else. Bonus it's independent and local!

I love this place. We go here to buy gifts for parties all the time.They have what we're looking for and they have free gift wrapping.Lovely staff that are very helpful too.

If you are here for legos, this isn't the place. They have a pretty good selection and a few sets that were relatively hard to find but they have a harsh price increase. A 20$ set will be a few extra bucks and a 100$ set will be 20$ extra. Other than that, they have wall to wall options and nice employees.

I passed by recently to pick up a gift for my niece and found the Toy Maven to have a vast assortment of plush animals to choose from that I knew she would end up loving. The aesthetic and atmosphere within the store is peaceful and quiet, and customer service was great -- the cashier who rang me up was incredibly kind. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want a place to swing by with your kids.
