The Rim

All the food here is amazing. The chicken and waffles is a must try for brunch or lunch :)The pizzas are great at any time. Homemade dough basted with fresh garlic butter and house made pizza sauce and topped with a five cheeses, need to say more? I think not! The jalapeño burger is fire! I have tried about half the menu and never been disappointed. The staff is attentive and always consistent with service. Great place for game day with friends or a family dinner. There's something for everyone here

We decided to celebrate today by getting an "amazing" meal together. This was all of our first time at The Rim, and it will be our last.We had a party of eleven. We made a reservation hours before. We showed up on with half our party on time, and were seated. The remainder of the party arrived shortly after. We were never informed that they were running behind, that the kitchen was slower tonight, or that they had many big top reservations. We sat down, ordered our drinks. It was quite a while before our waiter had us order our food. We ordered, and it had to be about thirty minutes before he came to inform us that the kitchen was now running slow, and it would be another 25 minutes before our food would be out. He said they had to wait to start our food until the other table food was out. The other excuse was that there was another big top. However, the restaurant really was not that busy. There was one other big table that had not received their food. He then said he could get us a couple free drinks. We were obviously very upset, naturally. One of us requested that we possibly receive a free appetizer. At least something eat after we had been waiting for an hour and a half! He left to ask a manager, and she said yes. He brought us out queso and chips. A small queso bowl. For eleven women. That was it. Obviously not very filling, felt like we were rationing lol.Finally, and very slowly, our food was brought out. My meal, the Shrimp Creole pictured below, was brought out with no sausage. I told him this, and he went to get sausage. He brings out a tiny condiment container with mini half's of sausages. The plate was mostly tomato's. The sausages were cold. Another one of us asks for a manager and when she comes out, she explains to her that while she understands that it can get busy, the way this was handled and the entire experience truly was not good at all. She also explains that the "free appetizer" was essentially nothing. The manager apologizes for only MY meal. She comps my meal, and comps the friend who spoke up. That was it. She said she would give a "10% discount" to everyone else.Everyone eats their meal. We finish and the waiter comes up and says he will start getting our tickets together. 20 minutes later he comes up and says basically the same thing. Finally he returns with the receipt. And gives me one. I thought my meal was comped? No...literally only my MEAL. I was still charged extra for the garlic bread I added on...75 cents?? And also, everyone's drink was free except those of us who ordered before he said the drinks would be free. Okay. There were also three receipts that were incorrect. And the "10%" was like one dollar off.Overall this was a horrible experience. This restaurant seems to be incredibly cheap. Won't be back!

Disappointing Date NightThis was our second visit here, meant to be a special date night, but it fell short compared to our first experience. Initially, we enjoyed the place thanks to the great bartender.However, this time around, service was terrible. We couldn't tell who our server was among the two attending our area. One of them spent nearly our entire visit chatting with another table, leaving us largely ignored.The service was shockingly bad. Our servers were scarce, and when they did come by, it was with mistakes. Our appetizer was dropped, and while the server replaced it, she forgot to bring back what she dropped until after we had finished eating (20 min later). The food was another disappointment; it was hot on the outside but cold in the middle (Fred flinstone short rib)To top it off, we waited about 10-15 minutes after ordering our first appetizer just for the server to return and say they were out of it.This visit was a real disappointment, especially since it was our date night, and we're now unsure about returning.The band was great and the bartender was lively.

I still love this place, actually more than before. When I go, it is with a fairly decent size party and they're always accommodating and get us seated fast. On certain days there is live music playing, they have an awesome outdoor seating area, and the vibe is chill. The spinach and artichoke dip is amazing so we always start with that. Whenever we go, we ask to get seated in Mia's section. She anticipates our needs, checks in on us, but not too often and is knowledgeable about the menu.

I wasn't very impressed. I love the location and the decor or the restaurant itself but the food wasn't giving.

A friend and I were hungry so we decided to stop by and get something to eat while we waited for a friend. Our server Mia was really nice and the food was pretty good. I was afraid that the shrimp and grits would be too spicy because of that cheese but it was really good! I don't know when I'll be back in Texas but I'd stop back by there again. Oh and Mia I'll tell my cat you said hello lol

This is getting 2 stars because at least the waiter was nice. Started with the spinach and artichoke dip. It was a little bland but other than that it was eatable. I then had tacos which were horrible. At no point in time should tacos have American Cheese. The chicken was rubbery.Then the pepperoni pizza, this immediately smelled and tased like a frozen pizza. Then confirmed when we found a piece of plastic in it. The brick oven is useless when you use it for a frozen pizza. Opted to skip dessert and cut our losses. This places was unfortunately disappointing.

The decor is questionable. But the service and the food is amazing. Will definitely return. Also try the chicken noodle soup. It's so delish!

If you're looking for a great dining experience, The Rim is the place to be--especially on Mondays and Wednesdays when they feature live music. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, all of the staff have great energy.Our server, Mia, made the evening even more enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, and had great recommendations. Her upbeat personality and knowledge of the menu added a personal touch to the experience. We'll be back soon for more great food and excellent service.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Waitress, Mia was awesome! Knowledgeable and friendly. Would I recommend? Yes!
