In town for a wedding. This place exceeded expectations! We stayed in the schoolyard room. It was lovely! The attention to detail in the room was evident. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The room was so cozy! We enjoyed breakfast on our private little patio. Breakfast was excellent! I'm gluten free and they were so nice about accommodating me! They are also very popular with the local deer! You will see them most in the evening and morning, but we also saw several just chilling in the yard during the afternoon. The entire place is just adorable. We enjoyed wandering around looking at all the lovely garden areas too!

Zan and Cash are amazing hosts. We were notified the day before of check in procedures. We were also asked of food allergies which we are blessed to have none. We arrived and check in was so smooth. The "Let Freedom Ring" suite was absolutely adorable and very clean. We were welcomed with a handwritten sign and yummy chocolates. We played horse shoes, swung in a swing, and took in the beauty of the country side. I felt completely at home without the responsibilities of my small farm. We enjoyed our beautiful and delicious breakfast on the patio. Learned more of the history of the school house. My husband and I are Texas history buffs and loved it! We will definitely be back and recommend!

Amazing place to stay! I will definitely return and have already recommended to friends and family to stay. Zan and Cash made me feel welcomed and at home from the entrance at the gate. The suite was very clean and comfortable. The views are peaceful and beautiful. I sat outside and watch the sun going down and was greeted by Mr. Spooks aka the cat. If you like history, you will appreciate that a schoolhouse occupied the grounds until 1942. You can even purchase cute little mugs made locally. I only stayed one night but I would love to stay a weekend. A great little getaway to relax and unwind. They have put a lot of little unique touches inside the suite that made feel at home. I relaxed on the couch and watched tv before heading to bed. It was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was soooooo comfortable and the linens and pillows were plush, smelled amazing. I have back issues and sensitivity to smells, no issues at all, and slept better than I have in months! The bathroom is decorated very cute and the shower head was great, plenty of hot water. They even have robes for you to wear. In the morning they served a spectacular breakfast. I felt like a queen, definitely felt spoiled! The kitchen has a keurig, but Zan brought me a fresh cup to go with the grapefruit slush and yogurt parfait. I sat outside and she even brought out a wrap in case I got cold. You won't regret staying at the schoolhouse. The hosts are great!

A Sparkling little Bed & Breakfast in Azle, Texas! I was lucky to have been able to book a room, I called just a few days before Christmas to see if they had any availability as the internet was indicating full! When I was able to book one of the suites for 3 days, it was a relief! The suite I booked was super adorable, with such beautiful rustic Texas furniture l! My mom sat down in the chair in the Living area and immediately fell asleep, she said it was so comfy! The suite had a small fridge, microwave, & sink perfect for a small getaway! Breakfast was brought up at our designated time, and water & snacks were in the fridge! This place would be perfect for a Romantic getaway as it is perfectly located on about 5 acres of gorgeous land! Zan was an amazing host! Thank you for making my Mom feel comfortable with her trip to Texas!

My wife and I stay at bed and breakfasts whenever we take trips every chance we get. Having an entire house or large suite is much more enjoyable than a boring hotel room with questionable cleanliness. The quality of a stay at a bed and breakfast largely depends on interactions you have with the hosts. The hosts at Old Liberty Schoolhouse, Zan and Cash, are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome at once. The accommodations at Old Liberty are charming and very cozy. The entire property is very relaxing to wander around. Sitting on the patio on very comfortable chairs is an enjoyable experience as you take in a sweeping view of a nearby lake. There is nothing about our stay I can describe in any negative light which is in stark contrast to other bed and breakfasts we have stayed at. Let me tell you about the breakfasts we were served. They were what you'd expect at the finest five star restaurant! You got ample and varied servings that were incredibly expertly prepared. I guarantee you will always feel when leaving that your stay was nowhere near long enough.
