Took this image and posted it, but it's not in the library of photos. It's my image and I want to share...

This landmark showcases beautiful mustangs In galloping scene. You can visit the museum in the building on the right (when you are facing the sculpture). The museum was small. It has pictures of how the sculptures were made. You can buy some souvenirs such as postcards, T-shirts, book about the history of the mustangs, pins, etc. I was fortunate that they had 20 percent off. The lady at the museum was very sweet and helpful. The museum definitely needs upgrades in technology. She wrote down the original total of my merchandise, calculated the discount on a calculator, wrote down the discount, entered each item on the computer. It was really time consuming. They also didn't accept Apple Pay.

Great area to walk and hang out. Lots of photo opportunities. The mustangs are in front of the building. I did not go inside due to it was the weekend. There's a water fountain and a lake in the area. It's very calm and peaceful.

The Mustangs are located in a small business court, In a ground level water feature. It's very pretty, and a unique stop in Las Colinas. A larger pond is on the other side of the museum. We didn't go through the museum. Not sure why- probably was not open. (Right now it is closed for renovations) * This sculpture of nine bronze mustangs galloping across a granite prairie stream, is the largest equestrian sculpture in the world. The Mustangs are located in a hip active area that offers music museums cafes restaurants and and sightseeing. Definitely worth 5 minutes of your time, but you might find yourself spending the day.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas are a landmark in downtown Irving. They're in a busy part of the city, not far from movie theaters, hotels, shopping, and office parks. While the museum nearby is closed for renovations, the Mustangs can be enjoyed year-round, regardless of the weather. The Mustangs of Las Colinas are striking; they're the largest equestrian sculptures in the world (because everything IS bigger in Texas) They're 3 decades old, yet look timeless. They recall the days when the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex was open prairie. They're majestic, beautiful, detailed statues. They evoke the days of the Wild West. An unexpected, beautiful sight in otherwise uninspiring Williams Plaza. Well worth a stop.

I truly miss living close to this gem since my move from Dallas. If you are in the Dallas area, this is a great way to pass some leisure time. It's great during the day but more impressive at night when lights illuminate the Mustangs. If you walk around the buildings surrounding the Mustangs, you can walk by the water and spend some time in a very quiet and serene location. During the day, there are shops and restaurants across the street from the Mustangs that you can visit as well.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas are a work of art commissioned by African Wildlife Artist Robert Glen. The sculpture consists of 9 mustangs galloping thru a granite stream in front of Williams Square. The fountains spraying up from the feet bring the statue to life by giving the appearance that the mustangs are actively stepping through the water right in front of you. The history of the statues is as interesting as the statues themselves. In the late sixties and seventies, rancher and businessman Ben Carpenter was converting his family ranch from a ranch to a mixed use business and residential center that would become Las Colinas. Carpenter wanted a focal point for his new development and he wanted to artistically express Texas' natural untamed past. Just like for the Las Colinas area, Carpenter had a vision of what he wanted and now just needed an artist that could execute that vision, and thus he found Robert Glen. Glen worked for 8 years to create what is visible for free today. It is a sight to behold any time of the day, as it takes on a new personality as the day and lighting changes.

Beautiful art of a group of wild mustangs in the water and fountain. This area is building up and this is right in the middle! A great place for a picture and the lighting is perfect.

A fabulous depiction of Wild Mustangs. This is a must see if you are ever in the Las Colinas area. Located very close to the Omni Mandalay hotel this is a nice place to relax and unwind...especially in the evening. This sculpture was dedicated in 1984 and created by Robert Glen and there is even a nice background note about the artist and sculpture on site. Great photo opportunities and set in a beautiful office park. A must see if ever in the Irving area!

This is an amazing sculpture due to the size and detail of the horses and the sprays of water that make it look like they are running through the water. We always brought newcomers here when we lived nearby, because it has a true Texas feel. At one point there were restaurants and shops down the canals but they closed down at some point; don't know if they ever did anything else back there. Overall, this is definitely worth a drive to Irving!

Power.... Beauty....Freedom, captured in nine larger than life bronze statues of wild Mustangs galloping across a stream. It is a must see! Beautifully sculpted with correct anatomy and striking composition, it is an inspiration for all artists and horse lovers alike. We had lunch at a hip little restaurant called the Cork and Pig Tavern opposite the road and had a beautiful view of the Mustangs from our table.
