What an ELEGANT and FUN Place this little Hidden Gem is!!!!!!!! Went here for a couple drinks and to hang with friend. I was happily surprised with the coziness of their interior, wish MY Living Room looked like this! RICHY SMART was DJing and he was FREAKIN' AWESOME! His transitions were on point and his MUSIC selection was SO good... a bit of old school tweaked with new music vibes! Got his website info, so we could see him again, where ever he goes to DJ. Drinks were great and service was excellent!

Out with friends and wanted to stop by a place with seating and music for a drink and ended up at the Living Room. It's the W hotel bar, so very central and conveniently located.Best thing about this bar was the DJ! She had the place rocking with classic hits that actually had folks dancing (from The Bee Gees to Brownstone, very eclectic) Not the stuffy bar experience I anticipated. Drinks were okay but pricey--I was the DD and was surprised at $4.50 for a small bottle of ginger ale. (Luckily the next 2 were free from a different bar tender). And while they have a pretty full bar no frozen drinks (one of my companions initially asked for a frozen daiquiri). Another positive, we bought cookies across the street and were able to bring them into the bar, since they don't sell food. Overall, cool hotel bar experience.

There is no upkeep at this establishment. Drinks are left from previous tables longer than needed with napkins, silverware and pillows left on the floor. Friday nights should have attentive staff serving at tables. Waiting at the bar for one bartender is not ideal for a Friday night. Same goes for the restaurant down the hall, Cook Hall. Two people attending the entire restaurant! Drinks took 30+min, food about an hour. For a W hotel, you'd expect more staff to facilitate every aspects of the bar/restaurant.

This is a great little hotel bar. I love the W and when I decided to try out the W Dallas for my most recent business trip I was not disappointed . I was in town two nights and both nights Andrea ( ahn-dray-ah) was a terrific. She was attentive, polite, friendly and mixes a perfect cocktail. The chicken paillard was a lovely light dish that paired well with my margarita. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, the menu is simple and easily navigated and the spirits are varied and high end. This place is great. Andrea is a super star and she really makes the experience pleasant and enjoyable. Tip your bartenders, these folks deal with a lot and deserve to be taken care of

Nice chill spot to go for a drink, or to watch a game. The atmosphere is really nice, they have huge long chandeliers in the living room area with plush seating, and they also have the bar area. So there's plenty of places to sit. It's a good place if you're going alone or with family/friends. The food is also good. It's nothing special but it's not your average bar food. (I hate bar food) I ordered a salad (which I don't think you can ever really go wrong with) and It was pretty good, they also have hummus which is delicious and my drinks were also amazing (cosmo). My bartenders name was Alex and he had great customer service and was very attentive, and welcoming. I sat at the bar area so I talked to him quit a bit. Overall pretty good experience I'm sure I'll be back to enjoy another cosmo (those are my favorite).

Either bring a high limit credit card and throw caution to the wind, or get yourself a Sugar Daddy to pick up the bill, because the Living Room at the W is expeeeeeensive!I do like the vibe though. It's chill, not too many pretentious folks, and you can order from a pretty great bar menu. Expect to pay $10-14 for a glass of wine, and $5-8 for beer.My girl friend and I shared an order of calamari, which wasn't greasy, the batter was light and it came with a spicy remoulade sauce to dip them in.Total for four glasses of wine and an order of calamari? Seventy buckaroos, including tip. See - I told you that you'll need a Sugar Daddy.

This is not my kind of place to hang out...it's too uptight and not my kind of music to bump to. I came here with a guy friend after a mavs game! I didn't want to come here because non of my friends was there. He wanted to go in so he forced me to go in, too because he was my ride home. lol I didn't drink anything because I didn't want to. Anyway, they were playing country and mexican music...not that anything wrong with them but when I would like to dance when I go out. Play something I can dance to mr. dj!!!!

Always love this place, great service, excellent drink menu, good appetizers as well. On quiet nights it's very chill and relaxing. On game/concert nights it can get very very very crowded and fun. The outside patio area excellent as well. I highly recommend The Living Room Bar.

I recently visited before dinner to have a drink and light bites. I like the setting with mood lighting, oversized furniture, chandeliers, and the movement of the passing traffic outside. The chill music was just right as we had great drinks and a meat and cheese board. As it got busier, seating filled up and the wait will be long.

My favorite hotel bar in Dallas! I always end up here after an event at the AAC. I love the sparkling lights that remind me of the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. The bar staff are always great and I always meet great people when here. That's what bars are about! My visits here never disappoint me.
