The Hot Taco

I wanted to like this place b/c it is close to where we live but it was just so-so. The people working there didn't seem really interested in serving anyone and the food was average.I would see that if the meat was seasoned and cooked a little more, the caramelization would add to the flavor. The meat was a little watery which diluted the taste. It was decent but I was hoping for more...

Got two al pastor on corn. Very very average. Not much flavor. The meat was moist but bland, no spice. The salsa had almost no spice either. The format of this food court/food marketplace was odd

Tried this place twice. Once through DoorDash and once walk in. The DoorDash order took 2 hours to arrive with the guy waiting there the entire time and when we did walk in it took over 30 minutes and there was no line! So slow and the food was average. Won't be back and don't recommend. Please they don't have half their menu so everything you attempt to order they don't have.

FANTASTIC! If you're looking for a good west coast style taco stop, THIS is it! Just happened to find this place doing DoorDash. After looking at the menu I had to come back. The ladies that work there are so nice and you get a lot of food for the price. Not to mention the salsa is delicious and I'm pretty sure it's homemade. It's located in a neat food court like concept, so it's very relaxed. I didn't even mention the elote cup yet. Delicious! If you like more heat I would ask for extra hot sauce but otherwise this place is my new comfort food spot.

Great street tacos! Will definitely come back and try the other things on the menu - huge variety of taco and dog options - all sounded simply amazing! The sauces added the right amount of heat. The prices are right. The staff was friendly and the food was prompt. About everything you could want.

This spot is awesome! Very much a west coast taco place or street style taco.... excellent al pastor. Jerk chicken was good but spicey

1st clue I made a mistake for tacos should have been that their number says "sorry an application error has occurred"2nd clue: received my door dash order for crunchy taco with ground beef that was supposed to be a total of 3 tacos per their menu only had one taco! I foolishly made 2 orders of crunch taco to only receive 2 tacos for a total of $14!.Folks I literally paid $7 without tax and tip for 1 measly taco in appearance and taste. Then they could disregard the error because you can't reach out. I've learned my lesson.

We door dashed this just to try it out because the yelp reviews were OK. Everything was very disappointing the chips are from a bag and were stale. The queso was decent. All of the meat was either as hard as a rock or flavorless or too spicy. The fish taco was a disgusting really smelly frozen fish stick, all of the tortillas were soggy, the rice was hard and flavorless, and the beans tasted very odd.

Great street tacos, green salsa is a must! Definitely will be back. My new staple for tacos here in Roanoke!
