The Golf Club At the Resort

Nice Place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Their food was pretty good. My son plays golf here so we come every Sunday. I really enjoyed their Southwestern Egg rolls and Paw Paw Burger.

This course was, at one point, a well-maintained course, today not so much. The course overall was dead where there was grass but most of the course was hard pan dirt. I'm not a fan of playing golf off of the dirt. The middle of the fairway was this way...see the photo.They were short staffed today with no marshal or beverage cart.This course will need some serious overhaul before we will be back.

I had high hopes for this course because of their claim to be a hidden gem in the DFW metroplex and their "aspiration to go private". I only live 20 min away and have never played or heard of this course until today. I called a few days ahead and booked a tee time for two ($45 each). We showed up and walked into the club house to pay, but no one was in there. We waited for 10 minutes so we left and went to the putting green. After 15 or so minutes, we went back in and were told we would be playing the back 9 twice because they were shutting the front 9 down to aerate and sand the greens. This was the first time of us hearing this, so of course we mentioned that. After a few minutes, they decided to take $15 off our round (which was great). We asked for range balls and were told that the range is completely underwater and is closed. We had 30 minutes to kill so we headed to their "chipping green" and walked right past the range. The range was dry as a bone and completely overgrown with weeds. Just like the "chipping green". I have seen rough that was shorter than the grass on this green.On to the golf course itself (back 9 only)....Horrible shape. Tee boxes were overgrown, weeds everywhere, uneven and sandy! Fairways were patchy with dirt and hard pan everywhere as well as extremely uneven with large ruts all over the place. 50% of the sand traps were marked as "GUR - Ground Under Repair" and the ones that weren't, were as hard as a rock! The cart paths were missing chunks and the navigation around the course was awful. My friend and I have played all over DFW and this was honestly one of the worst courses we have ever been to. We will never be back.

Is this a TPC course? No, but it is fine. The course itself was good, but the bunkers were pretty hard packed sand. The layout for the holes is a little strange, but they try to help you. The people there were helpful and very nice. Overall I liked it and would play there again.

Had some issues with being charged for 2 green fees after 2 players in my group who couldn't make it. I spoke with Riley at the club house and we got everything settled and he gave me a refund. I appreciate them working with me and understanding my frustration. The golf course is in good shape and getting better. Great layout and greens are in good shape. Everyone who works there from the club house to the bar, is awesome. Been playing out here for 10 years now and it's getting better every year. Highly recommend The Resort golf club

Horrible conditions! Hardly any grass on fairways and tee boxes and forget lining up a putt! So much poa Ana I thought I was playing plinko with my ball. What ever they're treating their course with ruined my golf shoes. That stuff won't come off. Very disappointed to say the least. The staff was nice and the food was good and they have live music on the patio is the only reason I didn't give it 1 star.

if you suck at golf this course is for you! its pretty much the equivalent of a field with a few greens being decent. The layouts decent so a star for that and its pretty cheap but probably should be like $15

The course is in fantastic shape and the people are great. Greens are rolling pure even after the freeze. Great price for a great course. Definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

Every fairway is like hitting off concrete. Greens are terrible dimples all over. Tee boxes concrete and broken Tess all over. Played 2 times last week and all the same. I live 5 min away and will not play here again until it better.

I got a tee time and drove an hour to play. At checkin, I was treated like I had a single digit IQ. I asked to speak with the manager. The young man behind the counter said he was the manager. I turned around and left. There are plenty of friendly courses to play. Go to them.
