My daughter has been doing lessons for a few months now and I have had zero issues with any of the staff or the facilities. They held to their portion of any and all agreements and are more than considerate in accommodating any bad weather or events that arise on either side. Nice and quiet place to get away from the city. Yes it needs updating but that's not about what this place is. It is just good people trying to make a living.

Great place to ride and for your kids to learn about riding horses. Would recommend it to anyone!

Attended a birthday party where underage children were responsible for the care and safety of other children on horseback for the first time ever. Even if several horses look to be in poor shape this could have been a disaster. Employees were yelling at children on horseback and also yelling at parents for various infractions, even though no rules were posted. Several children brought out burrows out which I thought were for petting however soon someone was yelling don't pet them then that was changed to only one person can pet at a time. It was a cluster! Fencing and equipment was rundown and in ill repair. Main meeting lodge/building was unkept with cracks in ceiling, filthy restrooms with toilets stained black. This whole outfit was a pitiful experience and I wonder how well the poor horses are taken care of. Horses have little to no muscle mass, poor horses just need to live out their lives on a horse sanctuary! I would not recommend Flying G Ranch, what a pitiful, rundown, second class business. Save your money.

My daughter has been going to Flying G off and on for several years now. She loves the staff and the horses! Yes, the buildings have seen some wear, but she's there for the horses. I don't think she even notices that. Besides when it's muddy you don't want walk into pristine buildings (it's a ranch!!). Value for lessons and summer camp is about the best for getting to ride horses! We plan to continue for many years to come!

This place is not well run at all. I will not be recommending this place. They lie lie lie. Lessons are hard to get, and the equestrian director is a liar. Even the stable manager lied to me. Treating my child for an injury when you are not a medical professional is irresponsible. Do NOT come here. The only reason they get a star is because I need to put one to write a review. Such a waste of money. My daughter was injured by a horse which happens. But the adults in charge treated her poorly, told her to toughen up, and did not notify me. My husband who is a paramedic is having to take her to the ER because her finger is probably broken. And they have not instructed the children or the wranglers how to properly give treats to the horses. Do not come here!

We love the Flying G. Ranch! My 9 year old Granddaughter has completed the first level of lessons. She has grown in confidence and dreams about "her" horse, Delta. Sprite is wonderful to work with and her horses are so well trained and gentle~ I am thankful my girl has this opportunity. It is a true blessing!

I don't believe in bashing a business so I'll just write something constructive for their parties. One, give the customer a contract outlining every detail of what they are and are not allowed to do so there is no confusion on the day of the party. Two, get the A/C fixed in the banquet hall. Three, a paint job and new roof would be nice since the pictures do not reflect how the building actually looks. Four, consider a business phone if you're going to host parties to help keep a good communication with your customers. All in all, I do not think I would recommend this place for a party. There was a lot of confusion and not a lot of good communication. In the end the owner was very nice about working with me due to all of the confusion, but as I stated it could have been avoided with a clear contract with all of the do's and don'ts. I do however think that they do take great care of the horses and do have a great horse riding business. I just don't believe that venue renting/ hosting parties is their thing in my honest opinion.

I scheduled my son for a week of horse camp. Every day that I picked him up he was starving. Apparently the adults were eating the lunch that I paid for. What is even worse is that there is a sign posted that they participate in the free summer lunch program. I did a little research and apparently this free summer lunch program is a government program that is provided to the ranch free and is only for children under the age of 18. The staff should not even be consuming this food. So I am paying for lunch as part of the camp fee and the camp is using this free government program and eating the food that is meant for the kids. What a ripoff! I consider that pretty unprofessional for kids to be hungry while the staff stuffs their faces. The camps occur during the summer and the main building does not even have adequate air conditioning, so the kids go from the summer heat to indoors where it is like an oven. I will never send my son there again and I would definitely not recommend that anybody else does either
