We ordered the family special and this was our one side. Tiny for a family. Want to start a fight try ordering this for your family

We have ordered food through the drive thru twice now and have been pleased both times. The chicken tenders have great flavor and one of my daughter's new favorites. Also love the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli rice & cheese casserole, the rolls, the sweet tea...it's all so good!Each time the service has been friendly and quick. Will definitely be back.

My husband was in the area for cowboys game, waiting for the rest of his guy crew to arrive. Due to late flight arrivals he decided he could not wait for them before he ate. So Uber eats and the chicken Place to the rescue!He decided on chicken tenders and fried okraOrder arrived within 20 minutes of order and he was shocked by the size of the tenders! Think large pieces of chicken breast. Or perhaps think half of a 3 or 4 pound chicken.10 piece order provided him with a meal for the night plus a complete meal for the "crew" the next day plus still have left overs.Lots of food Plus the price was rightDon't hesitate to order from the chicken placeYou will not be disappointed

Just an update, haven't reviewed in a few years, been coming pretty regular still, and it's still great.Today's visit, the chicken was nice, the choice in veggies ready in the warmers was a little bit less than usual, but as long as they have steamed medley's, I'm happy. That's something we like about this place, it's fried chicken with an assortment of good vegatable sides. Everyone elses' sides is either fries/beans or if they have good sides, they're not fried chicken but rotisserie, etc. So that sets this place apart some.Anyway, it appears they had a health inspection lately and had their forms hanging in the windows, bragging about the good results.Anyway, hope they keep it up, we do like coming here!

If you love crunchy chicken and great sides check this place out. My chicken was moist not dry. I got the strips

I am not sure if you know about The Chicken Place. Chicken strips and chicken on the bone are their specialty. This place is consistently good. Located on Ruff Snow in Watauga, TX near Chapman road. I do not think I have even gone inside. We drive through at least one a month for a quick family meal and rarely have leftovers. My favorite is the chicken on the bone, fried okra and corn on the cob. Wait. They are still open. Thank goodness they are right around the corner.

This was my first time trying this place and my chicken fried steak was delicious! Service was fast. Huge portions for the price. Liked it so much went back for the fried chicken and was not disappointed. Will return again soon! Mashed potatoes were awesome!

I love this place. They are never out of items , everything is always fresh and cooked perfectly. I was get the gizzards here. I always get more than I ordered, the batter is never too greasy and always seasoned well. The Cole slaws tasted fresh and was not watery. The mash potatoes were very creamy and smooth. Their lemonade is also very good. Their regular fried chicken is made with that same crunchy light batter, always juicy and never dry!

Tuesday's lunch special was Chicken Fried Steak with two sides and two rolls served with a large beverage of your choice. Yummy!! Large portions will definitely fill you up. Wife had the broccoli cheese and the mixed vegetables. I had corn cob and broccoli cheese. The chicken fried steak was so good and everything was freshly made. Take it all down with a big drink!! I loaded pictures and be sure to check out their Monday-Friday specials served 11 am-3 pm. Lunches are $8.99 each. Come on now...where are you going to eat a large meal for that price in this economy with drink???? Dessert is extra...Peach Cobbler was outstanding at $2.79.

We have order twice from The Chicken Place, both times through a delivery App. We have never been to the Watagua location. Between the two orders we've tried the tenders, gizzards, breast, leg and wing, The chicken and the tenders are very good with a nice crispy crust. The only sauce we tried was the cream gravy which was good and went well with the gizzards and the mashed potatoes. The cold slaw was a combination of the creamy and vinegar varieties and well seasoned with black pepper. I'm a fan but if you strictly like the sweet creamy cold slaw you may be disappointed. I do have some hopefully constructive suggestions for the take out / delivery side of the business. 1). Cold slaw should be in a separate container and not in one of the styrofoam wells with the rolls and the chicken. You end up with wet rolls and chicken by the time it's delivered. 2). Add the options for light or dark meat to the fried chicken. I understand this places an extra burden on the business and I would expect to pay more. I know this is understood by the business as you have an option for chicken breast on the meal at an additional $0.75 cost. A second option for all light or all dark would seem to be an easy update. We will definitely order again from The Chicken Place or maybe try going to the Watagua location but not until the weather cools.
