My boyfriend and I visited the Capital Grille for our first anniversary. We had reservations and we immediately sat down in a booth that was decorated for the evening. The restaurant was dimly lit and was very romantic.Our server was Javiar and he was attentive, personable and overall an amazing waiter. He gave us wonderful recommendations for the drinks; the Mango Royale which my boyfriend ordered and I ordered a French 75 which we both enjoyed.He offered suggestions for the appetizer and even let us know some of his favorites. The crab and lobster cake was absolutely delicious and the green sauce that it came with complimented it perfectly. Next for our entree's, Javiar was kind enough to inform me that the preparations could be made on any cut of the steak which I appreciated. We ordered the Filet Mignon with the Kona Crusted preparation and the Lamb Chops. For sides we ordered the truffle fries and as were in between the sautéed spinach & the brussel sprouts, which we decided to go with Brussels. Javiar was kind enough to bring sautéed spinach out for us because I was interested in a lighter option. Everything was delicious. I've been to The Capital Grille in Atlanta before, but this Fort Worth location was top notch.We ended the meal with a special anniversary dessert, the cheesecake which was so decadent. I'm not a cheesecake person, but this was one of the best tasting desserts I've had.Overall, The Capital Grille was a wonderful dining experience with a staff that strives to exceed every expectation. The food is so tasty!

I like the treat the hubs to a nice steak dinner for his birthday every year. Our go to is usually Bob's in Grapevine, but I keep hearing good things about The Capital Grille, so we decided to try it out this year. It didn't disappoint! Conveniently located close to a parking garage, or they have valet available. We arrived a little early for our reservations, so we sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited. Beautiful, romantic atmosphere. It is fairly dark, which made it a little difficult to read the menus, but we managed just fine. Tucker was our waiter, and his service was top notch! He was attentive and offered some great suggestions (except the black tie margarita - I did not care for that at all!) I do highly recommend the Dirty Goose and the Espresso Martini. These were both very delish! The complimentary breadbasket they provide has a variety of different breads, they were all so good! We opted to split the Porcini Rubbed Ribeye with an added lobster tail. We also did a half portion of the lobster mac & cheese and brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a great crust. The mac & cheese was also very good, nice and creamy. The brussel sprouts were some of the best I've had. Our friends that joined us didn't care for them due to the balsamic, but I thought it compliments them very well.Dinner ended with a special dessert treat for the birthday boy. We got a sample of the cheesecake and the espresso cake. Both were very good! We were also given a beautiful pink rose for the ladies at the table. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Texas is known for its abundance of steakhouses, and during a recent visit to the area, we decided to try Capital Grille. Although I'm a vegetarian, I knew they offered plenty of sides and salads, so I wasn't concerned about finding something to enjoy. To my surprise, our server mentioned that they could prepare two dishes with tofu. We started with the truffle fries and mac and cheese--both of which were absolutely excellent. For my main course, I opted for the tofu dish, but unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. It lacked flavor, and I think it would have benefited from being fried for added texture.That said, the truffle fries and mac and cheese more than made up for it. We were quite full by the end of the meal, but still managed to save room for dessert. The crème brûlée was the perfect choice--light and indulgent, it was the ideal way to end the meal.Overall, the service was friendly, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. While my tofu dish wasn't a standout, I would still recommend Capital Grille for the great sides, excellent service, and overall enjoyable experience.

My husband and I have visited this location a few times in the last two years and the meals are consistently good and the service is unparalleled. This evening we went and our third course was running behind and the manager apologized and comped us our entire meal. We were fine just sitting and chatting but they insisted on making it up to us. They asked us what else we wanted for the night and my husband jokingly said he wanted a puppy and the restaurant manager actually brought us a puppy stuffed animal at the end of dinner. Located in beautiful downtown Dallas Fort Worth, across the street from the convention center. Stopped by for a quick meal, before traveling back to San Francisco after a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament. Upscale, fine dining restaurant with impressive wine cellar, great bar. For my meal, I selected the shellfish platter: whole, shelled main lobster, raw oysters, U-15 shrimp cocktail. Served with spicy cocktail sauce, wine vinaigrette dipping sauce. Delicious, fresh, and fairy inexpensive $65! I highly recommend their clam chowder, creamy, and flavorful! By the way, one of the best selection of fresh breads, which are complimentary!

We went for my wife's birthday and Javier was our server and he was amazing he was really nice and knew the menu well. It was a little bougie, but still really nice. Everyone was friendly and we had a really good time. The food was good. The capers made the fish a little salty, but not too bad still good . The truffle fries were really good too. The lobster tale was my favorite it was taken out of the shell table side and was tender and delicious. The experience as a whole was really nice. We came in early afternoon so it wasn't too busy. Our food came out relatively quickly. It was hot and fresh and overall a good time.
