Service is impeccable. Very attentive and professional. And friendly. Had the build your own boil. 1: Shrimp- perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. 2: Mussels- my wife said they were amazing. Apparently, since she ate them all. 3: Andouille sausage. Really good. Not too spicy. 4: Lobster: Terrible. All four of them were rubbery, stringy and way overcooked. Do NOT get the lobster. 5: Mushrooms. They were extremely good, firm and delicious. 6: Red potatoes. See mushrooms. So good. 7: Corn. Yuck. Mushy. 8: Sauce. We got the garlic spicy mix. It was really good. 9: Toasted bread: really good. But they charge you for it. 9: Smothered fries. The fries were extremely good and tasty and crispy. The "smother" was supposed to be etouffe with crawfish, but it was just soup. Zero proteins except 3 red beans. The grated cheese was good. 10: Gumbo was very tasty

It looks a little bit of a dive from the outside, but on the interior it's nice and clean. There's one female waitress serving the entire place, both the bar and the dining room with four tables of guests having lunch, about 20% of capacity at noon on Friday.I love frog legs, so I ordered them. I got the full pound order. ($19.95)It came quickly, on a hefty logjam of breaded/coated french fries and a couple of hush puppies. (Enough grease here to pack bearings in a Freight-liner.)The legs were plump, hot and tasty (when I took off the outer coating!) but were way, way over-battered with not-so-crisp breading soaked in grease. I filled a basket with un-consumed bread coating that would account for a full half of the volume of the entree! After a little work, though, the naked-at-last meat was well prepared, cooked exactly right and tasty.Amanda was very cashual, talkative, gracious and busy, dressed a bit skimpy to expose the dozen or so colorful tattoos; this added to the bar atmosphere rather than the family dining atmosphere but her personality carried the day!I ordered a bowl of gumbo to go, it came as a generous portion with a side cup of white rice. I took a little sample from the gumbo, and the taste was there, very original and authentic Cajun flavor, but it was lukewarm. That's troubling! It's an interesting place.I wouldn't probably bring a young granddaughter or my mother, but I might show up again here with a couple of buddies. I heard a lady in the booth adjacent complain that her crawfish ettouffe was served at room temperature.Hummmm.....

The environment was low key. Clean and small. The crab is on point. It's a bit pricey for crab ($19. A claw) my tab for one was $49.15, I had tea, so I wouldn't go just because I want crab, I would have to be in the area.

We went once before they sold to the new owners and it was great. This time it was us and another couple in the entire restaurant on a Thursday night. Which should have been a red flag. Our server had on daisy dukes, and the bartender was vaping the entire time we were in there. We split a crab boil. Once it came out and I asked for two more legs. Assuming they would be as good as last time. Oh no they were so gross and rotten. We could not even eat the two we ordered. They were fishy and completely disgusting. The redfish was dry and plated like at a Lubys. Before they had live music not this time. There was nothing but a foul mouth man at the bar and two u attentive workers in the place. Once we asked for our check the daisy duke server walked up and said that's $252.00 no receipt. The server in fact actually didn't add the two extra legs that we didn't eat and just asked box them up. As we assumed they would have been better. But since we didn't see the receipt we assumed she added a whole other bag to our order. The worst food, the worst services and I am pretty sure we got ripped off.

We drove in 1 1/2 hours to eat here after reading Google reviews. We should have gone with Yelp reviews first. Idk if they were having an off day, we all do, but our experience was definitely a miss. To start our appetizers were not consistently cooked. Calamari was over cooked and the "cocktail sauce" was like a cocktail jelly. The pickles were under cooked and soggy. The boil. Crab was good. One of the the crab legs had some sort of black eggs laid on them. It wasn't seasoning. The butter was congealed and not melted. The corn was decent. The potatoes flavorless. The shrimp was hard to peel to say the least and had the main vein no one wants. The dirty rice was DRY DRY DRY. They charged $2 for jalapeño cream sauce topper that was hard to find. Now, the coconut shrimp was so over cooked it had the texture of a chicken tender. $116 for the table and two of our party were so unhappy with their food they pushed it away. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the crab however and that was all that got the stars on this one.The service. Good. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. The ambience.Cute little shack.Sorry about the subpar review-but was honest on subpar food.
