The Blue Fish at 121

Quick update: This is our go-to for casual sushi. We were there again yesterday and had nothing but great, fresh sushi. They are no longer affiliated with The Blue Fish; instead they are simply called The Blue, (which I admit, is a tad confusing). However they are in the middle of rebranding... so be patient with them. We sat at the bar, and they have good size TVs to watch sports. The manager, Leulu (I'm sorry if I misspelled it... She told me before I started having a lemon drop shot...but it's pronounced LuLu). She was awesome. Super helpful with educating us on certain fish and making recommendations. She recommended we have the sampler platter and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend giving them a try and keeping your palate open.

Been to the Blue Fish at the lower Greenville location, but first time trying the Plano location. Plano location did not disappoint! My daughter and I came in last Friday night and enjoyed our dinner on their patio. We ordered edamame, miso soup, a couple of pieces of individual sushi, crunchy munchy roll, and the cherry blossom roll. All of our items came out in a timely fashion and were very delicious! Crunchy munchy roll was a beautiful spicy highlight to the night. Our server was also great, and never left our water glasses empty. Thank you Blue Fish Plano for a nice patio and delicious food.

The Happy Hour is a great deal. The desserts were PHENOMENAL. I loved how you could taste everything I ordered and it wasn't overly seasoned.Bar area is nice and bonus that the restaurant is near the boardwalk!!!

A nice, open restaurant with a great interior and friendly service! We had a large group reservation for a birthday and we were accommodated with all of our needs. The Drinks: 10/10! Every cocktail we ordered was delicious - highly recommend trying them out:-Sangria: Fruity & sweet, not too strong-Asian Pear Margarita: Definitely a margarita, wish there was a bit more Asian Pear taste but still good nonetheless -Passionfruit Mule: Very delish, tart, and leaves a great taste The Sushi: Tbh, it could be a lot better for the price. The quality of the fish was pretty good. The scallops were pretty disappointing- It didn't taste that fresh and light. They do have a lot of options when it comes to Nigiri so I think that is a plus. The Ahi Towers were good for sure, but they were super small. I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants, and for this price of the tower I've seen double the size. The mega lobster roll was a bit underwhelming in terms of the price. It didn't really make that much of an impact considering the price and the amount of lobster put in it, but it seems the lobster taste got lost in the process somehow? So much potential here. Overall, we had a great experience which is why I rate 4 stars (& the free bday dessert is a PLUS!), but just wish they could maybe up their portions for the price it's at.

I absolutely enjoyed my visit at this specific location of The Blue Fish.The ambiance was excellent - great lighting, interior, mood, everything. The service was amazing too - I forgot his name, but he definitely checked up with us multiple times and helped us well.We tried multiple rolls, sashimi (yellowtail and salmon), and Salmon Tower. The quality of fish were fantastic - they were fresh, tasty, and melts in your mouth. The rolls were great - portion of rice, fish, other ingredients with sauce blended really well! I definitely understand the price increase everywhere, but for some, I felt little "eek".. however, for the quality fish and special occasion-visit, it's super worth it - just not for a frequent visit for me.

I've had the pleasure of dining here a couple of times and the rolls never disappoint. The service is cordial and my drink (iced tea) always stays full.On my most recent visit I tried the Rainforest Roll and it did not disappoint. It was both appealing to the eyes and senses. Every bite was incredible, and surpassingly it filled me up! Everything about it was fresh and tasty.I also got the Spicy Tuna Roll (6 pieces) and the tuna was really good as were the cucumbers (fresh).My friend got the Louisiana Roll, but asked for the spicy cajun sauce on the side, just in case. Both turned out to be really tasty and we ended up using the cajun sauce for my spicy tuna roll too!This once bustling place seems to be a bit quieter these days, which I'm thinking has contributed to the rise in prices. The 6-piece tuna roll was $11.95 and Rainforest Roll was $17.95, not a cheap meal for a casual girls night. But, the food was so good I would definitely come back (not as often as I would like because $$$) and I would also highly recommend Blue Fish for sushi.

WOW! Sat at the sushi bar and Chef Alfredo was amazing! In addition to making us delicious sashimi and sushi, Chef Alfredo made the evening so much fun. We had an AWESOME time and we will be back soon.

The food here rocks and is of above average quality. There are so many great premium rolls from which to choose. The staff are always helpful and the restaurant is very clean. They even brought my boys cute oranges cut like Mickey Mouse!

The food is great, but it is a bit expensive. Like the shi tower, also the sushi rolls and tempura.
