Wanting to try something new, we ventured south to Glen Rose. We've seen this place driving by, and it looks cute, with the bee hive honey comb mural on the outside wall. Well on our visit there were a few problems. It was horribly short staffed, in fact we later learned a friend was helping on the register and taking orders. Second, the menu was not very interesting. It appeared to be the same menu from the previous Mexican / Tex Mex restaurant. The food took a long time to come out. Our server was very apologetic, and we hoped for the best when the food finally did arrive. Sadly, the food was nothing special. There are better options, at least in Granbury. The interior lacks any décor. There was no ambiance at all. So I'd like it if this review was better, but it is what it is. Unless I see some amazing reviews pop up, I would not come back. Bottom line: We were really hope for something more like a cute bistro.

Our server was very friendly and professional, but he was probably the best thing about this place. The food was just okay, not bad but not great either. The place is screaming for a makeover, this is another restaurant that Restaurant Impossible should look into helping. There are random decorations on the walls and the tables are all scratched up. Overall our experience wasn't bad, but there's definitely room for improvement

This is our absolutely favorite restaurant in Glen Rose. They have great service and great food. But the plus for us is the kid friendly atmosphere. Our grandson has a menu that he likes, he always eats what he orders from here. I like the salsa because it is made in the store, fresh. There is an area near the dining tables with toys set up for customers (especially the younger ones,) that allows kids to feel at home in the restaurant. I appreciate this because it allows a positive experience for all. I like the menu and have tried several plates. I like the down home atmosphere, and the lovely family history of the restaurant. The kids like to take selfies by the mural and the beautiful flowers in the front. If you want to relax and enjoy having younger kids welcomed, this is the place. This is their choice and if they could review the restaurant they would give it a five and thumbs up. The service is friendly and attention is good. Great iced tea also. We will be going back and are happy to find a family place that takes the stress out of bringing the kids. It is hard to find a restaurant so unique and warm, with good food as well.

One of our favorite places. This place is cook to order so don't expect it to be fast. Jackie and company make you feel like home. She has a verity of options on the menu so do just expect Mexican food. Our favorite are the beef fajitas and the Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich. When you can catch the seafood chowder on special it is an amazing day! Filled with flavor, and packed with seafood.

This is truly a hole in the wall place. The scenery is not there, no bar or TV's... but the quality of the food and the service was five stars! Crispy tacos hit the spot...
