Texas Pit B-B-Q

The family went there first the first time. We WILL be going back!They give you a small cup of bbq sauce, but frankly, you do NOT need it. Do yourself a favor and try it as is. The sides were also good. The coleslaw was not too sweet - it was a good balance. I tried the BBQ Stew, and it is probably the only thing that wasn't 5 stars. Everything else the four of us got was primo. Service was quick and the staff were friendly enough. And by 'quick,' I mean the food was ready before we finished paying.All of us in the family smoke and bbq our own meats, and while we'll never win any awards, it's hard to find a place that cooks better bbq than we do. I've never had anyone make a better turkey, chicken, or duck than I do, and I can't remember anyone making ribs better than my son's. I don't say any of that to brag, but just to put this into context: we decided that if we wanted to go out for bbq, this is probably the place we will go.

Relived this memory today with my Family and it is just as I remembered..... DELICIOUS! The overall eating does not give this place justice. The ambiance is the same with the addition of a bar and covered patio area. The staff is younger but overall the service was good. They could have been a little more lively and not so straight faced. Smiling goes a long way. Great BBQ and has been for years! Give them a try!

1st off, the place is very cool Texas barbecue homey local awesome as it gets for a standalone place like this! Service was great fast and friendly, had an awesome bar and vibe inside to wait or hang if you choose. The ribs were spectacular, brisket good plus- a little on the roast beef feel but flavorful and tender. The homemade Mac and cheese was awesome, and the house peach cobbler was a MUST! 3 meats 2 sides twenty bucks which for this level and serving was incredible. Definitely going back!!

I just ordered 1pound of chopped beef. It was $27. I about had a stroke. This place blows. I called Angelos, Heim and Woody creek. Angelos was the highest at $16. I was seriously screwed. The coipped beef was lame, dry and old tasting. They try to covered up the quality of the beef by saucing it. Let me sauce my food myself!NEVER WILL RETURN. What a joke.

Dropped in for my first visit last night. Ordered the 3 meat plate with Brisket, ribs and sausage. Mac N Cheese and B-B-Q beans. Came with a slice of Texas toast. Brisket melted in my mouth, ribs were fat and fall off the bone meaty, sausage was flavorful with about 10 slices. Left full and happy. Will def be back.

Excellent as usual. This place never disappoints. I got the big nasty and the boy had ribs. Great food from good people!

Classic Texas BBQ. Exactly what it says on the tin. Great brisket and potato salad. Quick service.

The worst cue... dry as bones brisket , ribs have been sitting under a warmer and dry as hell! You ain't gettin my hard earned money anymore! How awful

Great service. Pulled pork was good turkey was not (basically lunch meat). Sides and apps were very good, too.

Great food, Texas ambiance, cold beer, płeseant and quick service. Though mainły an adult atmosphere it is very child friendly, and safe as well. . . NO BEER CHUNKING EVER!!! fantastic baked potatoes.
